Good news it’s being addressed by Gov but agree, not enough to share around. I worked for a Cancer charity for 3 yrs and wholeheartedly made every penny I raised count until I saw the higher ups driving around in new cars and having posh lunches! I had a rethink after that and was left disillusioned 😢 thanks for vid Kev x

The thing that REALLY bugs me is that the bigger charities filter out the good merchandise, and price it against new or collectible items online, which I think is a very slimy thing to do.
Charity shops are no longer a fun place where you can grab a useful bargain. They are miserable hovels full of overpriced junk that should be in landfill.

Totally agree with you need to see why people are on the streets and like you said stop them because some people find it hard to live in a home they can’t cope with it so they just need support cause now there’s no way to go where you can talk to someone if you’re in debt or have problems that’s another thing they need places where people can go get help and talk to someone totally agree with you 👍👍👍

Government run, so 950 million for the administration of the programme then, leaving 50 million to spend on the people.

£1 Billion? That's what is spent every four months on these illegal scroungers flooding across the channel, this shows exactly how much they care about our own homeless.

I’d like to see this country implement Universal Income to help people off the streets and stay off by covering essentials and bills and allow them to focus on training/getting a job. It’s worked in other countries.

Shame so many charities need to exist Kev, it’s a failure primarily of Govt, councils and wider society that so many do exist. There are some good ones out there making a lot of difference in a positive way but agree there other suspect ones.
If the govt raised the taxes actually needed then charities wouldn’t be needed and local councils would be able to support their communities and eradicate a lot of the issues people face in society.

The money needs to go to the volunteer homeless charities that are helping the homeless in the area they are from. They know the area and the problems that these poor people are going through, This obviously would need auditing by the people who dispensed the grant. No one should receive a payslip or any type of incentive. Charities that can employ people to canvas for money are a scam and a business but seriously misleading the people who sign up or donate cash to them.. We ( Liverpool) have buildings that could be opend up as shelters and also rehabilitation/ counselling units. Some of the money's could be spent making a building fit purpose and then hopefully setting up the rehabilitation side of things. Nobody should be simply written off. My real dream would be to utilise the university hospital student doctors and the dental hospital to work along side the rehabilitation team. I hope the money does not disappear ???
