Food Network is just NOT the same without Emeril and his missed show "Emeril Live." I miss the show sooo much! "Essence of Emeril" was another favorite of mine. The real Puala is a fraud and very unpleasant person to be around. I'm a savannah native that knows. A co-worker of mine was at her restaurant and saw her pass by. My friend asks her waiter to come to there table and say hey. Paula says(loud enough for my friend to hear) i dont do personal appearances. Another example. Every year Gulf Stream (an areonotics company) has a meeting in savannah. One of the locals planned for all the women to eat at "lady and sons" while there husbands were
Don't totally blame fast food restaurants for helping Americans get fat. Cooks, like Paula, who don't give a living crap about cooking healthy meals, are at least partially to blame.
Further more, she is no cooking god. Locals eat at her restaurants one time and thats it. A plate is $18 for the buffet. Its no different than any other home cooking establishment in savannah or any other southern restaurant. And now this will surely upset you.... The whole "Heeeeey Yaaaaaaall" country twang is FAKE. She does not talk like that or even close. Thats my rant, sorry, i just had to speak my mind.
