the most mature album made by Katatonia in my opinion. Unspeakable beautiful rainbow kaleidoscope of colours ...in shades of grey. Jonas has a great voice but it's a shame that people only do appreciate his vocal craft and at the same time totally ignoring work done by the rest of the band!!! it's HARD WORK to perform the music in this way! just be aware... !

A year and a half later and I can't believe how far I've gotten to my goal. I was in a really dark place when I wrote this. I never thought I would have gotten this far since I wrote this comment. And just thinking about all the opportunities I had to quit and give up makes me realize how stubborn I was to get to where I am now. If anyone is reading this comment and is an ambitious fucker like myself, keep at it. Indecision sows the seed of failure. Don't have a plan B. Put your head down, strategize, pick your path, and stick to it for as long as you can. Even if it takes years. Passion brings you far, and don't forget to sing a song for the ones who never made it.
I'm now debating whether this CD is going to be higher on my favorites list than Tiamat's "A Deeper Kind of Slumber," and I never thought i'd have to debate whether something could top the #1 CD on my list. If you like stuff like this, it's worth a try.

Nah dude Dead End Kings is a masterpiece. TGCD and Viva are great albums don't get me wrong, but they don't feel as important musically.
