Howdy Betsy! I missed your videos. You have such beautiful energy and I truly have learned so much from you. I never comment on videos but felt the need to say that I think you are absolutely amazing. Please keep providing knowledge with entertainment.
Great job as usual! Love your personality and energy. 😎 Plants look great and I love the fact that you spotlight different “Lower light houseplants” than every other UA-camr!! Merci mon ami! ❤️

Hi Betsy! Totally understand feeling like living in a foxhole - central PA doesn't get much sun and like my plants I am SUFFERING - your outburst made me laugh and it feels nice to know I'm not alone with this feeling!
Hi Betsy! This was another fun video. I love your sense of humor, and you look gorgeous, as usual! I'm glad you covered some plants that aren't on everyone's lists for low light plants. I've been wanting to try begonias, cane begonias in particular, but thought they would need more light than I could provide, so it's good to know they don't require a lot. Do the "Rex" begonias need more light? Just curious because some have such beautiful leaves. I remember your video on the spider mites on your Calathea musaica. That was so much fun to watch! I hope this one won't put you through that, too! I'd like to find a

Looking great! It's good to see that you are feeling a much better after the surgery horror! Thank you for brightening up our days with your wonderful humor (and your plant experiences of course)
I like how you discripe my weather in northern Germany :) It was so wet this year. We know rainy weather here near Hamburg, but this year was so cold and wet. Best wishes for you, I love your videos. You have such a great personality

I am SO glad I found your channel! You are absolutely delightful and I love your content…keep up the great work representing the plant community. I lived in Germany for four years and it’s amazing revisiting the life of an expat. Would love to see some of your favorite plant shops abroad.
Howdy! Love how honest you are, and how you encourage my begoniar addiction :P I recently got a very bushy Begonia listada, and just saying it reminds me of you ;)
Also to further encourage your leaf stroking I think you'd enjoy Calathea rufibarba and probably Siderasis fuscata ;) also thrive on regular room temperatures and humidity I believe ;)
Thanks for the video Betsy ! It's good to see some less talked about low light plants here. I also think it is awesome you gave a shout out to Jane Perrone! Your videos and Jane's On the Ledge podcast both make me smile :)
Your nose looks awesome!! And lips on point. Also your videos make me care more for my plants. Sorry for rambling, just wanted to tell you I appreciate your work a lot. So thanks :)
Agree 100%. I was trying to focus on the actual content of the video but all I could focus on is how beautifully you are healing!!! You look beautiful!! Would you consider making an update video of your surgery? 💕
First time looking at your channel. You are one funny and entertaining gal! Subscribing just for entertainment value but I am also a tropical plant enthusiast living in Florida and also love begonias
Thank you for the video! Loved the list and enjoyed the introduction of the five plants. I definitely agree regarding the CALATHEA Musaica (I had to ahaha) and you did get me curious about the other plants, too.
How often do you water your m. peru ? I have one that has brown spots on its leaves. I though maybe it was because I was over watering it, so I've cut back on that. It also get bright, indirect light. Maybe i'll move it back from the window a little bit further.
So happy to see you again! Tu prononces Comte de Miribel parfaitement, il n'y a rien à excuser!!! I commiserate re bad weather this year. I'm in the northern half of Belgium and it's been horrible! Pretty much all the vegetables I grow in my garden failed this year. We've had nothing but cold and rain 😭 Thankfully my houseplants fared a bit better but only because they were saved from drowning! That Primula looks awesome, I'll keep my eye out for one. PS I would love if you could feature more EU-centric or EU-friendly vendors as sponsors. I understand the biggest market is North America but those of us here want choices too! I love Soltech lights but between shipping, import tax, TVA and processing fees, they are completely out of reach! 😱 Maybe you can convince some manufacturers that Europe is a worthy market too!
Red zone where no one can live in France?? Thank you for sending this American down the historical rabbit hole. That was an education. By the by this was the best and most interesting 'low light list' I've seen, thanks Betsy.
Hello from Muskogee, Oklahoma! I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated your video. I'm getting ready to move into a low light apartment. Two windows (one is a sliding patio door) both facing north! Ugh! So this was one video that really hits home for me. However, the one thing I wanted to ask you is, cats being cats, (crazy hunters that like to attack just about anything that moves, and sometimes things that don't) how do you manage to safely keep the plants that aren't so pet friendly?
I have trained my cats to stay away from my plants. I have a video on the topic of keeping cats out if plants on my channel. 😄 It takes time and patience but cats can be trained.
Howdy Betsy! I've always avoided begonias due to fearing they need too much humidity, and I'm not willing to use a terrarium. I might have to give one of these a shot though! I've had the calathea medallion for a couple years, and like you said it's constantly got brown edges. Good to know the musaica is less fussy, I'll be open to getting one in the future now. Do you know how a Maranta would do compared to a medallion? I've always wanted one but I'm hesitant after my experience with the calathea medallion.
I adore your plants! I can't cheer you up with this but commiserate, its 12c in Victoria Australia on October 18!!! I'm bloody cold! What the hell weather?? It's supposed to be getting hot!
My ‘monstera peru’ was labelled epipremnum pinnatum marble planet when I bought it. A cultivar of the pothos and not a monstera at all. Not sure why it’s so widely mislabelled! To make it sound more exotic maybe? Got mine in the Uk for £6 so they are easy to come by here too.
Hey Betsy. Please can you do an in-depth update on your nose, e.g. how you are feeling with it now, how you are adjusting to it, how others have reacted, what has changed, expectations v reality, how you feel about your surgeon, and are you still happy you did it, etc. (Just throwing some ideas out there and it's just a suggestion- I get it if you don't want to talk about it again!) ... Anyway, you look good! Hope you are well :-)
Hi, thanks for the suggestion and for the kind comment about my appearance. It hasn't yet been 6 months and I am still healing. And to be honest, it's been quite difficult to see negative comments while I'm still on the mend and my nose continues to change on a weekly basis. With each update I get an influx of people who find my video and say awful things without thinking about the effect they have on me as a person, so I have not been motivated to do any "extra" updates between the milestones I decided on. I plan to provide updates when it seems appropriate in terms of the healing timeline which takes 1 year. 💚 I hope you have a lovely day.
@@betsybegonia That's understandable, I respect your courage in putting it out there but knowing where to draw the line in terms of personal boundaries. I'm not sure what comments you're getting but you look great to me. I look forward to any updates that may come in the future in that case. Thanks and you too :-)

Looking forward to an update on your healing journey when you're ready (I'm sure that will be on your other channel). Take care Betsy🤗
