After the bins at the Goodwill Outlet stores have been picked over, most of the remaining items are sent to the landfill. I recently rummaged through the leftover items remaining in the picked over bins; and in today’s video, we are giving 10 of these items a second chance. I’ll show you how I upycled and repurposed these forgotten finds, creating unique and stylish Christmas decor. If you enjoy a good before and after thrift flip, then you are going to love today’s video!

The mice decorating the tree is darling!
Oh, thank you! 😊
That qas definitely the best idea!
The suitcase is adorable and brought back memories of going to Granny’s house. I purposely would forget my pajamas because she would safety pin one of her gowns to fit me. The suitcase was packed with dolls and doll clothes that she had made for me.
Oh, I love this! I remember the doll that my grandma had for me to play with at her house. ❤️
That's a sweet memory. Thanks for sharing with us ❤
Such lovely memories!!
It’s my favorite of all, I think.
Isn't that what was called a "train case"?
Getting ideas from thrifted items is so much more interesting than assembling Dollar Tree items❤
I totally agree! (I do like to do DT videos occasionally because everyone can find those items, but using thrifted items is so much more interesting! )
Your creativity is amazing!
Absolutely!!
Vlriss so true
Wow, these were all home runs! I really enjoyed watching!
Thanks so much, Brenda! I’m so glad you liked them!
Nativity in a crown! FOR. THE. WIN!!! Love, love, love.
My favorite was the tree with the little mice climbing the ladder. Also the suitcase was very nice. Thank you for sharing and showing us how to keep things out of the landfill. You are a national treasure.🥰
All fab as expected (no pressure 😊 ), but the mice decorating the tree is genius... I love how you think outside the box !! 🎉
Your creations are unbelievable.
Remember the old saying, sow's ear to silk purse. You certainly could do that❤
Oh, thank you! You are so kind, Jo Ellen!
The suitcase with the winter scene was beautiful.
Thanks so much, Anna! 😊
Sherry you are a creative genius!! Period. End of story. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh, Melissa, you are so sweet! Thank you! 😊
Your crafting sessions are like having a library full of great ideas to use as reference for future projects. You are so talented. Your creative mind must work in overdrive. I can only imagine what your “stash” looks like. It seems to be an infinite source of goodies. Thank you for your time that you put into these videos. ❤
You are so welcome, Denise! Thank you so much! I do have a large stash. With UA-cam I have to stay on schedule, so I don’t want to go buy supplies on my “crafting” days, so I use what I have on hand.
Well said 100 percent true
I love the snowman in the wardrobe box . It's so cute. Nice job on all the crafts. So many new ideas. 😊
Wow! This is one of your greatest video’s EVER! Your talent is that of creative genius. All ideas are so you! Can’t pick a favorite, but the little tin can lid was a true reflection of the season. Thanks for my weekly crafting therapy!
The crown manger made me tear up thinking how much Jesus smiled when He saw how you displayed it! Just Beautiful!
The reasons why you value that Daily Devotional book is one of the things I love about you.
Me too!!
Me too. ♥️😊👍
*I could watch your videos all day! You are so creative.* ❤💚❤💚❤
It is your love of the small details that makes your creations so magical!
LOVED the mice on the ladder decorating the tree!!! Genius idea❣️
I believe the crocheted piece is a prayer shawl to be worn to ward off the cold when you read your new devotional in the morning!
Oh, Carolyn! I always wondered why they were called “prayer” shawls. I’m always cold, so I wear a big robe!😜
I think it might be a child's shawl.
The mice on the tree made my day! The suitcase is precious. And the crown Nativity is amazing. All these are so well done. I can’t pick just one favorite! ❤️💚🎄
I can not believe how creative you are!! So fun to see what you will do with an item.
I love everything Sherri! The Christmas tree with the elves going up the ladder was so clever and is absolutely adorable! I also love the crochet tree but I think I would have wrapped it around twice to totally cover the white poster board. You truly have the most creative mind! :-)
The pink crochet item is probably a prayer shawl.
You just never cease to amaze me! But I have to tell you that the little house in the small suitcase is fabulous!!! I love that it had people at the front and back! Everything was wonderful! And the mice climbing up that tree.....what can I say!!!???
Love them all. Suggestion on a future video. The Frame one gave me the idea that you could 30:20 make wreaths, hanging ornament displays, or a floating diorama. Love all the birdie remakes, don't stop bird stuff. I'm a huge fan of anything you reinvent, recycle, or reuse. I look forward to seeing you every week❤😊
Great idea!! Thank you so much, Marce!
Love all the thrifted items you repurposed.
Thank you, Tracy! 😊
I ❤d the crown with baby Jesus etc. it brought me to tears. Beautiful! I loved all the others as well!
I absolutely love the mice decorating the tree and the snowman storage closet. When you revealed the storage closet, I actually gasped - yes gasped - in delight! What a cute idea, just love it!!❤😊
Wow! Thank you! I really struggled trying to come up with an idea for the jewelry box that was different from previous thrift flips, so I am so glad you liked it! 😊
Love all of these trash to Christmas treasure flips. I especially like how you use glitter to kick several designs up a notch! 🎄🎄🎄
Yay, another glitter lover! Thank you so much!
The mouse ladder vignette was my favorite. What creative projects today!
OH, thank you, Katherine! So glad you liked them!
The tree with the mice and the Currier and Ives suitcase were my favorites. Your imagination is wonderful!💕
Thank you so much, Dianna! (I am loving mice in Christmas decor for some reason, so there might be another mouse in next week’s video.😜)
I think my favorite was the Currier and Ives little suitcase. When I was a child (now 73), my Dad had the full-sized suitcase that he used frequently as he was a traveling salesman. The hardware and handle were so familiar!
Thank you, Kathy. Isn’t it funny how an object can bring back so many memories? It is hard not to buy them all, too.
I just adored the frame and pinecone display. Then my heart jumped with joy to see the little suitcase come to life as a beautiful winter wonder land . Xx
I love the crocheted piece wrapped around the cone shaped tree and also the ladder made from sticks and twine. So ingenious.
Everything is terrific, but the mice decorating the little tree, and the snowman's closet are just too cute! ❤
Every project tells a story. You put so many details and nuances into each piece, and that is what sets you apart from other crafters. Each piece is a curated work of art. I love the suitcase! My mom still has a couple of pieces from that set. Much love!
LOVE your projects, especially the mice on the ladder putting lights on the tree!!! Adorable! 😍😍😍 LOVE the snowman closet!
Thanks so much! I’m loving little mice (and other animals) in Christmas decor this year.
@@CanterburyCottage You're welcome. I also LOVE the suitcase!
I love what you did with the “crown”❤️👍
Oh, thank you, Vivian! 😊
The crochet looked like a shawl. It was beautiful.
maybe a prayer shawl
@@lindanaughtin2702I think it would make a lovely tree skirt.❤❤❤❤❤
You never disappoint! They're all beautiful. The charm of the elves climbing the ladder and the snowman in the repurposed jewelry box is adorable!
Oh, thank you, Kimberly! 😊
Nativity in a crown! Perfect!
As I've said before, your creativity knows NO bounds 💝. Love these as usual. You truly are amazing with that wonderful crafty brain the Good Lord blessed you with! I don't know how you still amaze me after all this time but you do! I just simply adore these projects. Very nice video my sweet UA-cam friend.
I loved the all. My favorites were the crown nativity and the Currier and Ives suitcase. Both were so simple and serene. Love your thrift flips! TFS.
The crocheted shawl was a beautiful find. It looked to be in good shape which is surprising since it was in a jumble of “stuff” My favorite was the little train case with the Courier & Ives inside.
Love your creativity!!! My favorite was what you did with the ring holder. ❤
Thank you, Debbie! 😊
Love the Christmas mice climbing up the ladder to decorate the tree! The deer looked so glamorous with the fur wrap. And the suitcase was so sweet! So much beauty and creativity.
What amazing transformations! ❤ love them all
Your video showcases your creativity, but also the fun of a handmade Christmas with special decor no one else has. I am a huge fan of one of a kind things. Thank you for sharing.
I think the blue metal lid came off of a premium saltine crackers box. Great video!
Oh, Debra, I bet you’re right! It seems so odd to me that crackers once came in a tin container.
Yep. I scrolled through the comments to see if anyone figured out what kind of tin that the lid was originally on. It was the lid to a Nabisco Saltine Crackers tin.
I loved the Frosty closet with clothes hanger Sherry. And the mice climbing the tree was adorable too! Then there was the suitcase with the Currier and Ives scene... I guess you could say I loved allot of these projects. 😊
Thank you so much, Sherry!😊
Love, love the snowman storage box.
Oh, thank you, Christine!
You are very pretty.
I saw some white birds at dollar tree and I thought of you. So I bought 4 of them. 😁😅
Thanks Sherry You're getting me homesick for Christmas!
I am so touched every time I watch you creating pure love through your "decoration", which I consider to be real art. Sooo uplifting. Thank you.
Such wonderful makeovers! So unique and original! You are sooo talented! 😊👍😊
Thank you so much 🤗
Oh my goodness! I loved the snowman closet, and THEN I saw the suitcase!!! How BEAUTIFUL that is!!!
I am in awe of your insight in finding these random pieces that NO ONE wants, and making such beautiful end results!! Thanks for taking us along your journeys 😊
That was a child’s shawl
Was being the key word here! After cutting it, it will never be a garment again.
It may also be what is called a fishu, an 18th century (style) small shoulder warmer for sitting in bed or modesty cover when at home.
At lease, it made a gorgeous decoration!
@@genevievemurray7743
"18th century" so 1700's.
I don't think it's that old.
@@sarahrenfrow9795
Does it need to remain a garment?
Such fun ideas!! That climbing ladder and the suitcase project are adorable!!
Thanks so much, Coleen! I’m liking mice and other little animals in Christmas decor this year, so there may be a mouse in next week’s video, too! 😊
Sherry, thank you for making videos! I look forward to them! I listen to you in the background while cooking dinner or folding laundry, and when I am anxious or can't sleep, I know I can turn to your videos and click on ANY of them and your voice will be so soothing and your grammar will be impeccable! Thanks again for being a safe, calming, creative space for so many!
I thought Frosty's Closet was so cute! Also, your idea to sprinkle snowflakes from the watering can was perfectly wintery ❤ I always imagine myself in those quaint winter scenes of long ago - I could just move into that little suitcase!!
Oh, thank you, Helen! Let’s both move into that suitcase! I do believe we would have been very happy living 100 years ago.
The long velvet slouchy bows are so in Vogue right now Sherry and you are the first one that I've seen do it many videos go❤ I thought the first project was going to be my favorite and now I couldn't tell you, they're all wonderful🎄
Oh, thank you! My son’s girlfriend showed me a garland made from velvet bows glued together-she thought it was gorgeous. I was like, “I can make you one of those.”😜
I loved everyone of them. I truly love your creativeness! The nativity in the jewelry dish was just so wonderful!
Oh, thank you, Pam! 😊
You never fail to amaze me!😮 The Christmas tree in the tin with the mice is the cutest thing ever.❤ The Frosty Snowman box is adorable, and I really like the Nativity scene.☃️✝️
Thank you so much, Vicki!
The crown nativity project has to be my favorite. I immediately seen a crown in that ring holder as well. I love both creations with the frames and really loved the last project. I honestly believe you are the most creative person I’ve had the pleasure of watching. I do mean pleasure. Thank you so much for sharing everything you do. You inspire me so much.
Sherry-as always, your vision is impeccable! I am always blown away how you can take these random items and turn them into beautiful, timeless treasures! I mean, the blue lid?! That ornament is amazing! Thank you for sharing your art! ❤
OMG Sherri everything you have done is amazing ...firstly my favourite was the whimsical tree with ladder and then you created the suitcase scene....it just came to life x
Oh, thank you, Sue! 😊

You are so creative! I loved them all. The snowman closet and small suitcase scene were so unexpected. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much, Donna!😊
I love your thought process and how you use every bit of an item if you can. Also, you must have an amazing stash of stuff!
Thank you so much, Tamara! I do have a huge stash. When I’m crafting, I don’t want to stop and go buy something, so I always try to use what I have on hand.
You are by far the best crafter on UA-cam! You are so talented! Love everything you have ever done!♥♥♥♥
Wow, thank you! You are so kind, Jane! 😊

So creative!!!! Great projects!! Loved the suitcase!!!

Creative and imaginative as always. I liked the gold deer with the fur collar and the last project with the suitcase.
Thank you, Barbara! 😊
All is calm, all is bright!! You have awed me once again!!
8:26 What you did with the old, rusty lid from a tin box was magical ✨✨🪟🦌✨✨
Oh, thank you!
The Currier and Ives scene is stunning! Love it!
Oh, thank you, Joanne! 😊
You make anything beautiful and unique! 😊❤️
Wow, thank you, Jane!

Thank you so much, Laura!😊
This is one of my favorite crafting videos ever! You never fail to deliver top quality content and inspiration on your channel! Thank you so much talented lady! 💛
I moved to Portland OR and spent some time every day for about 4 years at the local GW bins going over the picked over bins and 'rescuing' things that I couldn't imagine going into landfill. When I finally bought a condo, I decorated the entire unit with bin finds including most of the smaller furniture (e.g., pictures, chairs, decorative screens, small tables, cabinets, bedside tables and bookcases). All my holiday decorations come from the bins, including a 4' long wire reindeer and Mini lights and wire berry twists to accentuate the form that is my favorite decorative item. I refurbished several Christmas wreathes to make then unique and every time I bring them out, I relive the fun of creating those items. In a culture that values the latest and most up-to-date, creating personal items from castoffs is a special joy.
Wow I can’t believe how you reused all of those things! You’re so talented. I love watching you redo things like that❤
Sherrie, the projects turned out so awesome! My favorites are the frame with pinecones and greenery, and the cutest snowman clothes closet. You are truly an inspiration!!!
Great job Sherry! The suitcase DIY is just beautiful!!!
Sherry, Sherry, Sherry, You are the most creative UA-cam'r I've ever seen!! Everyone else pales in comparison. I'm not joking. The suitcase tableau was the best, but I loved them all.
Oh, Sherie, you are so kind! Thank you so much for these lovely comments!❤️
So many great ideas , so many cute Christmas pieces! I especially love the ring holder turned into a crown with baby Jesus and all!!! So sweet! 🥰
As usual, each was amazing. Two of my favorites were the watering can with the stars shooting from the spout, and the suitcase. You rock !!
So very creative!!!! I loved Frosty's closet the most, but it was hard to chose!
Thank you, Donna! 😊
Love it all. But I think the snowman in the closet box was so cute! See you next week.
Oh, thank you, Pam! 😊
Sherry you are so amazing! I love all these gorgeous makeovers! Wonderful! ❤️💚🤍🥰
Thank you so much, Terry! 😊
Very nice! I think that the random lid ended up being my favorite!
Yay! Thank you, Mary! It was my favorite, too-sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.
You have an enchanting imagination, I love the ladder on the tree in the tin box
Sherry just watch you do your craft. You are so Talented. I love your work. Thank you so very much for sharing!!!
God Bless You
I think just when I have seen you do just a fantastic and creative job, you come along and totally top that. FANTASTIC!!! Can't wait till next week!
Wow, thank you, Shirley! I am already working on next week’s video-vintage inspired Christmas decor. I hope you’ll enjoy it, too!
Your projects show your dedication to your creativity! I absolutely love the tree with the mice hanging the lights, it’s absolutely adorable🥰
That box for the snowman was adorable! Wish I would have thought of that! Lol.
