Weather in Seoul is much better IMO. Less hot and humid in the summer (as bad as the summers are in Seoul, Tokyo is noticeably worse), and Seoul snows in the Winter. And no earthquakes in Seoul.
I've been to Japan and was planning on visiting Korea this year before covid happened. It's awesome being able to just walk around the city, especially at night, which you can't really do in the US.
Between this video and the live stream... I want to go eat in Japan, stroll through the neighborhoods and countryside... but still live in S. Korea :). Ultimately, I would have to go and see for myself. Also... Alex Michael?? Freaking precious. I am very surprised by the banking issues. Korea is so far ahead with so many things and that seems like it would be an easy fix.

The similarities on two countries basically come from the historical facts that Japanese ancestors moved down to Japan out of Korean peninsular. The differences have been mainly caused by their hostility to each other as Japan has always tried to attack Korea and Korea has defeated Japan in any way...
