Always get excited when I see another upload from you bro! It's awesome to learn from somebody with a wealth of knowledge and experience like yours. How awesome is it that Kai brings people together🤙
Cheers mate! Yeah its pretty fantastic aye! You have to love that we live in these places where we can go out and gather suck awesome kai to feed out Whanau aye! Cheers!!!
Another awsum mission completed and I for one would love to see you milling the wood and what you get up to in the garden, I learn so much from you Kerry and I appreciate all you do
Mean dive Kerry! How deep was the main crack you were diving? Definitely chuck in some saw milling and gardening stuff. A few vlog style videos would be all good on here without needing another channel 👌
I think it was around 4 to 5 meters so pretty shallow. Yes I think trying to have a bit more life stuff in the videos is a good idea but finding the right balance might take a bit of time - bear with me lol! Cheers!!!
Awesome video brother, the saw mill looks amazing is that a lucas? well done on the gardens too they look awesome, great dive brother, :) definitely keen on the milling vids and gardening, and then in turn the grafting vids could be a part of that as well, i feel in many ways that could all be a part of this channel would be nice to have it all under the one roof in my mind, what if you changed the channel name to just kerry flowers, thus not limiting the channel to one genre of videos :) just my thoughts, love you bro
The mill is just a bandsaw mill - sold by topmaq. I need to think about that content and where the best place for it is, the supposed experts would say that it is best to create a new channel if you are changing the style of content but maybe a little of the life stuff on the end of a spearfishing video is not changing to drastically...I need to maybe try that first. Cheers!!!
@@KerryFlowers for sure Kerry, sounds like a great mill if your ever want a hand yell out i love milling wood :) also two great channel examples that have included some of their home life or content differnt to what there channel commonly portrays is clarke boys hunting nz and also the lateral line, and for me its the combination of the home life with the epic hunting or fishing mission that really is a sweet spot, it makes it all just come together and creates a new experience with more depth for the viewer :)
Churr bro. Any content is good, if it’s in the sea or anything you do day to day. Gardening chopping down trees, least your out there doing something and showing a little in to your life.Churr bro look forward to your next content
Hello, enjoying your underwater crayfish video. I have never heard of crayfish in the US, so I am assuming this is an Australia species. They look like a lot like lobster so are they just as tasty and expensive if you were to order in a restaurant? Thank you again for sharing; I am loving these underwater videos.
Hey Bro have you done many customary permits. I've been told that they can change the size of the seafood you can take. I've done a few in wellington so I Said no but I can't say that they don't not do other places. Them I seen this video and was happy to see that use also practice taken the size limit. Cause what I've seen is a big misunderstanding about this. Any info be appreciated Oh and yes more at home vlogs
I have not done many - only when I have dived with Chris as he is the one who goes to the kaitiaki and gets the permit, yes they can change the size limit on the permit but the one that we had this day said that everything had to be of normal legal size. Cheers!!!
Hi mate nice dive just a question can a European or colonialist as were called now, get a permit to take more than we should when a member of our family pass, if so were can I get one ?
Permits are issued by the kaitiaki of the rohe (guardian of the area) so I would suggest that if you actively involved with your local marae and know who the kaitiaki is you could approach them and ask for a permit. In the case of this video Chris organized the permit but my name was also on the permit as one of the nominated divers... Cheers!!!
Also, I see you need to measure for size, but are you also limited to how many you can keep in one day? You also need a license, correct? FYI, I love the verbiage Australian's use; "jenny's" and "berries", you can't keep jenny's, right or just jennies with berries?
Yes, there is a limit of 6 per person per day, no license needed. You can't keep the females when they have their eggs under their tails - we call this being "in berry". Btw I'm a Kiwi not an Australian lol! Cheers!!!
Always get excited when I see another upload from you bro! It's awesome to learn from somebody with a wealth of knowledge and experience like yours. How awesome is it that Kai brings people together🤙

Yes, they are a south pacific species of lobster that we call crayfish - very expensive in restaurants. Cheers!!!
Solid
Cheers!!!

Yeah would be somewhere around that. Cheers!!!
