It is so mind bending every time I think about all the people living south of the equator. Winter is the hot season. Summer is the cold season. The internet and TV kind of fails to a knowledge that. We all think about Christmas and snow and holidays. Everyone else are getting their "summer" wardrobe out.
Looks great. Love the Barbie plant wall and pandas under. Furniture and matching the paint to the grout is what I did on my house siding. Only thing I would do differently is make the wall covering the breeze blocks removeable like the palm frond on the sliders, for summer breezes( who knows what will make homes/nests on other side of concrete panel). Also even though they are removable blocking light with the palm frond panels into the house seems....bad?
Just stunning guys! Well done. I love your design ideas and choices of colour and style! I would live to use this style for my own outdoor area! Thanks for the ideas!
Everything look absolutely fantastic. I wouldn't put a planter there like that, the water will be dirty when the planter is watered and it will leak out onto the other tiles. Would have been better to just line it with plastic and have a tube or something drain out into the grass or something like that. I"d say some sort of a drip system to water the plants, one good heatwave will have those plants wilting in no time.
Yep. I was thinking the same thing. I'm always looking at this great ideas using timber but I know that it would be destroyed after a couple of winters here. I also imagined those herbs in pots flying away during one of those windy days...
At seven minutes in, he talks about a four mil deck spacer which protects the perpendicular board below. Where can I buy these? I live in the US and can not find them anywhere. Anyone know? Thanks in advance 🙏🏼
Good ideas but some questions 1) in making the bar b q table it shows it painted dark then when the top goes on a clear is put on all the wood which now shows that the whole bench is bare wood? When walls are put up to cover the small openings in the brick won't that create pockets to collect dirt, etc on the other side and then mold etc.?
love the look for the sliding doors but are they not using them to go out to the porch due to eye bolts keeping it stationary? Think I missed something there.
I wish they would have installed the privacy panels there, on a hinge system so they could open in the summer when you need the breeze and close in the winter when they don't.
You are required to use a professional for almost all electrical, plumbing installation jobs in Australia otherwise insurance claims are voided. That’s why most Tradies in Australia are huge earners.
Most of this works - but a couple of really bad ideas. * 1st: Painting the SunTuff roofing so Dark stops light into the area and into the house, and is expensive for the owners to replace = That's one decision you should have consulted with them FIRST. * 2nd: Likewise with the VERY Heavy Concrete Top huge table. Designer +, but Ergonomic - > how to move > FAIL. Especially with older people, who may have back, neck, shoulder, or cardiac! issues. If you're gonna need to ask for help to move such a heavy piece of furniture, to clean underneath - take the rug out and hose off etc. - that's potentially a big issue. Worse is if they try to do it themselves and potentially do themselves an injury! { Listen - I've worked in Emergency Departments - I have seen older people, too proud to / or have no-one to ask for help - 'do too much' - many MANY times! } * 3rd: The Hanging Screens look great BUT they're in front of Doors! Glass Doors! And again, reducing light into that room. Maybe they're not doors that are used much - for now! - but at the very least they should be on a sliding track or hinged to swing aside - for ready access. # That's also a SAFETY Issue, blocking fast access for Fire / Emergency Exit. * Finally; I heard NO Discussion about where / which direction the main prevailing winds are coming from - in Winter. The screening may be in the right place - or not. * Oh Yes... that heavy wooden top fixed to the beautiful old Singer Base is functional but ugly and totally out of sync with the style of the piece. Could have achieved the same bench space with sourcing some matching side iron scroll pieces, and a lighter grey marble style bench top.

This video represents a wonderful collaboration of everyone’s individual talents. Great result!

ONLY ONE thing I would personally alter is to hang glass door covers like barn doors for option to allow light in!

I Love it, when Australians says "Its ah bit cool out here, in the winter" and im in Denmark thinking, your winter is ouer summer XD

Nice job 👍
2:08 She covered up the breeze blocks? That's criminal!

That's why she bought the fans. Control the breeze.
Problem: Can't use space in winter. Solution(?): Put a heater in one corner of the completely open space.
It’s a fireplace and it’s Australia. It will be fine.
Superb 🤩
Wow
Can you tell us how much is cost every time you do something, because it can help we have an idea about repairing
Won't the garden ruin the posts that are supporting the beams ? Moisture etc from the soil will rot that wood.
Nice!
cool winter for Australia means 15 degree C. brrrrrrr dont you feel cold
Need drain dishes to protect wood!
Absolutely love this outdoor patio excellent gave me some fresh ideas for mine Thankyou guys
Panels over glass doors?! Blocking light coming into the house
I was looking for this comment! Most of their designs seem so practical, but blocking off a glass door? Really?
i thought the same, was checking out who else noticed it - why?
Where did you get the indoor outdoor rug please?
I wish you could do my garden ...in Jordan🇯🇴
Beautiful, when is dinner,I will be over in five. Enjoy, just stunning...

How does the team decide who gets the makeover
Anyone know where I can find this dining table??

Mesquite heaven
Is it me, or is Jason always extra passive aggressive towards Adam?

Where did you use the mirror table
it's the wall mirror left to the patio door reflecting the couch
This is old videos uploaded recently, right?
That’s winter? Shit, I should move to Australia!
Ok
Out door mirors get drity water stans
It's 2021 N I see this episode in analogg 420p. Wth?
The carpets were too small. They needed to be the same size and to underscore the two areas within the area. Too busy a scheme. Tiring to work out.
Why do you have a electrician come in??? Are you not the improver???
Why do you need a professional for putting in a heater?

@swordscot wow that is crazy! I would love to visit there. But sorry for your lose of freedom!
Hi
Nice job but they got rid of all the natural light. Turned into the bat cave

The whole idea of a terrace is that it's open. You've just basically created another indoor space. I don't like it.
LMFAO - squandering $30,000 for an outdoor firepit.
