Parts like this show just how much of a great shift there was from the 80's to the 90's. Someone may find it to be just a scene with two characters rambling between themselves and maybe it wouldn't have fit in with the rest of the film, but compared to the other deleted scenes, from River's presence, to the camera direction, the improvisation, etc., this movie was overflowing with tension from the ideas that were either a gamble or just inventive. Of course, it couldn't be too scattered, but the right people were involved, even if some dark aspects spilled over into their personal lives. The film had both edge and a fertile flower bed to spring from.

And she composed some music about him too (there’s an entire album called river). I advise you to listen the music call “Immolate”. (English isn’t my first English, I’m sorry if i made any mistakes).
There's a clip somewhere on UA-cam where River, as acting prep for this movie, interviews boys off the street - boys for whom this movie is a reality. If you watch the clip and watch this scene, you'll see he has taken over their personalities to the T - they are he and he is them. Genius.
The full scene is them having sex. This is them hanging out after. I think it would have muddled the plot too much as the main plot focuses more on River/Keanu. This scene gives too much screentime to a secondary friendship. Maybe they thought it would be confusing for him to be bi? Though it makes sense that his character would be. Sex becomes weirdly disconnected from emotion so that doing it with your friends is just a passtime.

I'm sure they're ad-libbing this scene. I kinda hate this film cos I think it triggered his downward spiral. He was such a sensitive, empathic soul and being surrounded by junkie prostitutes would've blackened his soul
