this is unironically my favorite mike design AND theme. i like the idea of him being this big hammy guy with a western aesthetic of sorts, partly because that contrasts with my headcanon chapter 4 arc villain who's a stuck-up french painter

The way this song sounds, I feel like Mike is sort of a big time game show host, running the different shows you end up trespassing into. After the first encounter with him, you end up in one of his shows, and keep raising his ratings by surviving whatever he throws at you. At the same time, Mike imprisons any critics and brainwashes them to become loyal fans or deal with them himself, gang boss style. After a while, he gets beaten in one of his game shows going against Kris and co, and Toriel/undyne basically give him a verbal beatdown on live TV, humiliating him and making him go full gang boss, with a TV styled Tommygun and everything.

@@CaueJulio yes, but more scheming and evil. He does everything because he wants his show to keep going so he can get all he wants. Mettaton performs and has fun with you, while Mike uses you as a pawn (or maybe a knight?) in his shows. He does have a dungeon like mettaton though, but his is an actual torture chamber full of screens of static and propaganda.

We have 2 connections between Mike and TV's, first is the fact that the big shot soda ad is on tv, in other word's he's a tv star (not a famous one though, I think(in our world)). The second is that Spamton's eyes goes static while he's talking about Mike, just like a tv. Though I have no explanation why there is a smile in queen's basement
