James Betrays Clem VS Protects Her From Walkers -All Choices- The Walking Season 4 Episode 4
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лют 2025
- When facing James inside the cave, after Clem fights him, he can either leave the cave and abandon Clem and AJ or he try to project them from walker and help them escaping. I included all choices and outcomes from this scene by recording this scene multiple times using my own gaming setup. I then edited the video to show all the possible outcomes, dialogues and choices. Hope you like it.

Clem and James are the very-soon-to-be-divorced parents and poor AJ is the child caught in the middle

Don’t you wonder how Clem would’ve turned out if there was no zombie outbreak
Would be a cool spinoff.
I wish they had explored that in some way like in some dream sequence or something. Her dad was an engineer while her mother was a doctor. She would’ve had a great life ahead of her had the apocalypse never happened. She wouldn’t meet Lee though since sadly, he got himself a life sentence for killing a senator. Another thing is that she probably would still have her Afro. Lol
Deathpool_04
And she would have never met aj
She'd have a leg, I assume.
TheLoneWolf 204 I wonder if he’ll even have been born if there’s that chance of being Carver’s son but you know, that depends on if he is Carver’s son.
She wouldn’t have met Kenny and his family either. They would all be safe and back in Florida. Or hell, she wouldn’t have met basically everyone. No Louis or Violet either since they are states away from Georgia. I don’t think there’s really a character that she could’ve met anyway had the apocalypse not happened. So that’s what her life would be. A long great life but without the people who met and helped impact her in the apocalypse. Her personality would be different as well since she wouldn’t be forced to be the way she was to survive a zombie apocalypse. It’s like comparing Future Gohan to Altered timeline Gohan from DB.
Goodbye, James...

I love how AJ was perfectly logical in the cave yet James refused to listen
That's me in a argument with my parents
Kaptain Amerika why do you love that?
@@Zaxizoid because AJ made perfect sense yet, James refused to listen. If it was up to me I'd say James is the lost one in this situation. He's "too human" for the environment
RIGHT AJ WAS SPITTING COMPLETE FACTS
At face value, he was perfectly logical. But so was James. AJ is only like 8-10 years old. He won't be able to distinguish mal intent or defense because he's so young. He'll get to a point to where if anyone goes against him he'll shoot them. You see how argumentative he was with Clem, now imagine that he never met Clem, was a bit older, and said he killed her ''to protect his friends.'' Just like with Marlon. Marlon calmed down, he dropped the gun and AJ, while being young, ''shot him in head.''
James was also being logical in that AJ would eventually turn into a mindless killer if this is all he sees and is taught. It's what he's been through. Although he didn't have to grab AJ, he's speaking from personal experience. He's been through so much death that all he sees is forced peace until Clem tells him that that's not the best way to go about it.
Why do you think there are a multitude of zombies in the first place? People claiming to protect their friends and people being way too trusting. Go too far AJ's way, you get Carver or even Lilly. Go to far James' way, you get Sarah or Tenn. Go in the middle, you get Lee,Kenny, Clem, Javi.

@@aislesaveu8595 I still love him😂even after
Laeyahgaen He’s still cool to me but it’s hard to look at him the same after this
here’s my thoughts on james:
he’s not a bad person, he just wants what’s best for AJ. and killing is not the best for a 6 year old. james probably doesn’t even know how old he is, but he knows that anyone can turn into a monster.
now, he’s not 100% right but you can’t say he’s wrong. remember carver from season 2? how he turned out after killing so many and finding joy in it? james knew that AJ would turn into a monster if he kept killing. he didn’t want AJ to become like him and everyone else he knew used to be.
james has also been traumatized with his past life. when he used to think killing was okay, when everyone he knew had changed for the worst. he didn’t want AJ to become what everyone else he knew did.
and being 100% peaceful isn’t the way to go either. you can’t just not kill anyone and expect to be safe. killing is necessary sometimes, like killing lilly was.
the way he fought clem kinda shows that he knows how to fight and he could if he had to. tbh he probably would’ve won that fight if AJ wasn’t there to help. but he doesn’t like killing because of what it did to everyone he knew.
and when faced with the fact that not everyone can be peaceful, he realized that clem was right and that he needed to think about it a little more.
I will say that what he did wasn’t necessary and kidnapping AJ in a cave wasn’t the best plan. even if that’s what he thought was best for him, doing it in a cave wasn’t the best idea.
I understand why people don’t like james after this scene, but I think it makes people realize that everyone has 2 sides to them. obviously he has the nice, peaceful side, but if you go too far with him, you bring out the violent side of him that he doesn’t show often.
I really didn’t need to write because I don’t even think anybody’s gonna see it but whatever lol. just wanted to share my thoughts on him and this scene.
You took the words right out of my mouth! 🙏😊👍👍💯
Someone's gotta see it.
That's better comment than every from a thousands likes in this film.
James is going through a similar moral dilemma as Morgan Jones is (from the show). Both of them struggle with killing due to traumatic experiences, but both of them took it to extreme degrees. Of course, as of now, Morgan has realized that you simply can't get by in the post-apocalyptic world without killing those that are a threat to the safety of your community. James has yet to realize it for himself.
Clementine probably didn’t know how old AJ was

James is probably my favorite because of his moral high ground
James is a fool. Treating zombies as people, and failing to understand that in a brutal world, only brutal people can survive. You have to be moral and brutal. If Clementine didn't order AJ to shoot, James would be dead.

Clementine: “....I dunno.”
Mike: “I’d eat the shit out of that raccoon.”
Javi: “It means you’re growing up, blossoming into y’know like, womanhood.”

I was hoping if you got on his good side(or decent side) he would come to the school at the end or that. Feels a little open ended to me personally and I wanted to know a bit more about him tbh. Great episode though.
I mean, between his philosophy and secluded nature, I would say it was impossible for him to join a group. Lilly was somewhat right when she said "people like him are too broken to fit into a community." James's problem wasn't precisely his philosophy, but his lack of tolerance and adaptability to others. James is too idealistic.

It still boggles my mind that AJ is only like 4-5 years old. Kid got some serious sas.
Everyone’s talking about AJ should not kill anymore and follow James’ path. But I’m fine with AJ killing, as long as it’s the right people. He says he kills because it makes the people he cares about safe, and that is perfectly understandable. He is just wanting to protect Clem and the others, and if that means killing someone to ensure their safety, then so be it. I’m not saying he should kill everyone he see’s, I’m saying that he should be able to protect the one’s he loves from others that want to hurt them. Killing someone doesn’t make you a bad person, it’s the reasons behind it
Yep, the problem is that he likes it, or at least does it with a very cold blood. It is a product of the environment (since he was born with the world already destroyed), but that kind of thinking and attitude, although coming from good intentions would've made him like any of the previous villains. The guys from the Dairy thought about survival as well and they saw cannibalism as a reasonable and good thing to do. Carver believed in sacrifice, control, and efficiency, because that's what kept the community not only functional, but prosper as well. The problem being he was practically a dictator and ruled with fear. Kenny made rushed decisions based on his raw emotions that led to many problems and the rupture of the group, even though his intentions were survival and protection for those who he cared about, Kenny killed Jane out of pure rage. Jane wanted to prove a point so badly that she either gets herself killed or pushes an 11 year old to kill an old friend, Jane was right Kenny was out of control, but her ways were despicable, she even put AJ in danger doing that. David thought violence and respect were the right ways to lead and protect, but he just ended up making things more complicated and dangerous for everyone. Joan was secretly raiding and wiping out other communities, because that would solve their lack of resources problems as well as the competition (curiosly she was right in a way, since in the Final Season many communities including Richmond are at war for territory and resources, The New Frontier being the biggest community at the time, would've taken everyone else out of the way with a lot more of ease than years after in Season4). Finally Lilly, although not the leader of the Delta, she represented them well, and their willingness to do anything to survive. AJ growing with that mentality as an adult would've been just another one of this "monsters" as he calls them, someone willing to let his selfishness and/or survival instinct stomp over people looking for the same thing he uses to justify himself. Fortunately (as far as I know) he probably would've made a peaceful life within the school only dealing with walkers.
He should kill but not like oh this guy is mean I should kill him so we can be safe
I don't know much about season 4 so please explain for me if I'm wrong

James the only way anyone came remain a person or a human being Is by forgiveness..of the bad things that was ever said of the bad fights that had to be done along with the pain you must forgive yourself you may not get it now but you have time all the time you need to understand.
James has a point, but if you are a good mentor to AJ and teach him that the no mercy rule only applies to those who truly deserve it, all of his arguments are meaningless. Killing Lilly is such an obvious choice that it makes him too human for a world like this.
I don't know which one is the "best" option :c Seeing A.J. turning into someone like Carver or seeing James die because of showing mercy to Lilly :c
It’s insane that even though I love Clem so much you could tell James could easily take Clem on in an fight
He’s older and probably stronger - but she had A.J. to back her up (,:
I mean.. she could just do a nut kick and she'd win. It's worked before kek.
Yeah he would absolutely fold her in a fight
Well yeah. Bro can literally hang out with walkers jus for fun. That says enough. He’s physically stronger for obvious reasons so he held back not to hurt Clem or else he’d have to deal with AJ’s ankle biting ahh. He’s also probably a very skilled fighter since he was part of the Whisperers group, who kill and need to be good at combat.

Yeah, but the creators did that on purpose because if they didn't 'get rid' of James then that means more routes for them to create. I really want an alternative ending where James still remains with Clem and AJ and possibly join them at their school so that James can help with 'raising' AJ
James reminds me of animal idolatry. Even if walkers are hostile he prefers them because they don't have the capability to be evil, yet he commits the falacy of equating peacefulness with good. So he isolates from everyone, isolates from the risk of evil, without realizing he will never expierence goodwill.

@@generalblade7504 Oh sorry i did not know that
exactly my thoughts!
I love how when AJ says I liked it in the middle of James's rampage the dude takes a second and goes "find god, dude."
Best part of the seen is that Tenn is just not there even though he's with them the whole time.
The creators should have created the option for Louis / Violet to have time to save Tenn and save themself too, since there would be fewer walkers on the bridge because James killed some. James in the last episode does aport anything on the decisions literally.
James: “It always a bad decision to kill someone who can’t even fend for themselves!”
Me doing this outcome after choosing to not shoot Lilly: *trust me, you have no idea what you’re talking about.*
Ok, but where tf was James planning on going with A.J?? Lmao.
Nice guy, but not a very good child kidnapper
Yo... Them arguing like this, James pacing around the cave, and then Tenn-oh, god, poor Tenn.
This is giving me so much anxiety, and I _LOVE_ it.
I love how AJ corrects james on how many times he shot lilly 🤣
AJ is literally Carver Jr. at this point. Ain’t no way he’s Alvin’s son.
Carver wanted control, Alvin Jr. just wants the bad people to fuck off or get fucked up.
Alvin has killed before btw. He killed a guy named George off screen also he kills hank depending on your choices.
I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF MORE PEOPLE WOULD COMMENT ON THIS SUBJECT TOPIC PLEASE!
I edited some things so you guys could read it better and there are also spoilers for the shitty story video game The Last of Us Part II so read at your own risk!
Do you think AJ might end up becoming a crazy serial killer sociopath or psychopath? Because the way he talks about killing people especially what he did to Marlon without thinking about the consequences of his actions was the definition of Murder! Marlon wasn't perfect but he didn't deserve to die like that he even surrenders too and I believe he actually felt Remorseful Regretful Guilty Responsible and Ashamed of what he had done
but AJ killed him in cold blood anyway so I don't blame Louis and Mitch and all the other kids for acting the way they did in Episode 2 and I know AJ is still young and Clem has been trying her best to teach him right from wrong and I know he saved Clem's life but still I worry that there will come a day where Clem will have to tell AJ to look at the flowers for those of you who know what I mean there are people who still don't like and hate AJ regardless of him saving Clem's life! Because of his personality especially when you tell him to kill Lilly and the way he said he liked killing her in such a creepy serial killer voice I mean he reminds me of Light Yagami from the anime/manga series Death Note and he reminds me of Harvey Dent aka Two-Face especially from The 2008 film The Dark Knight especially with that famous quote "You either die a Hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the Villain" and that's what I worry about with AJ that one day he could totally freaking snap and Clem would have no choice but to finally put him down once and for all that's what I still fear in the future for AJ that he will do something so bad to someone else that they will want revenge on him and
David from Season 3 is a good example of that because David was Crazy and in most of the endings of Season 3 he ends up dead! But he was right about one thing "AJ was a Brat" Also Karma might come back for AJ because someone might bash his brains out just like Badger from Season 3 got his brains bashed out from Javi all I'm saying is if AJ still keeps doing crazy stuff and being ruthless when it comes to killing people then someone is going to want revenge and is going to want to kill him Just like Abby killed Joel in The Last of Us Part II because Joel killed Abby's Dad! That could happen to AJ in the future you never know because he might just go to far and someone maybe Clem will have no choice but to put him down in the future which would be a sad but true thing indeed! So what do you all think about AJ's future when comes to killing people who do wrong by him and the way he talks about it like it's no big deal!
I just hope he will learn to give people the benefit of the doubt in the future instead of wanting to kill them because when it came to interrogating Abel when AJ saw him Die he started to feel a little sorry for him especially if you ask him as Clem by saying isn't this what you wanted and AJ will say I did but and then Abel will cut him off by saying You're going to get your wish and AJ has a sad look on his face I liked where AJ offers Abel Water at least because you told him what he did to Marlon was wrong and it was murder and that he would have to atone for it so he thought he could do the same with Abel I just don't know I still worry what and who AJ will become in the future
Maybe he will start to show a little bit of mercy to his enemies and he will only kill them in self defense and he will show mercy to the ones who hopefully feel Remorseful regretful guilty responsible and ashamed of their actions look I know it's a zombie apocalypse world and it's every person for themselves but you have to believe that there are some people who want to be good and who want to be heroes I hope AJ will see that and try to have a code when it comes to not killing as many people only if and when it's necessary and when it's unnecessary I hope he will learn and know the difference especially when said to Lilly's face in Episode 3 of the final season that he killed Marlon and that he wasn't a monster but she was and it was a good choice that he killed Lilly but still I just hope he will learn the difference when it comes to doing the right thing which is showing mercy to people like Marlon and killing people like Lilly I hope he will know the difference and grow up to be more like Clem and his parents Rebecca and Alvin and less like Carver hopefully anyway what do you guys think? 🤷♂️🙏
@@jordonavant5153MARLON TRIED TO KILL CLEMENTINE AND HE KILLED BRODY TOO AND HE WAS REALLY A MONSTER BECAUSE AJ HAS RIGHT TO SHOOTING MARLON AND ALSO HE TRADED MINERVA AND SOPHIE AWAY FROM THE RAIDERS AND ALSO AJ WANTED TO PROTECTING CLEMENTINE AND ALSO LILLY AND CLEMENTINE ARE COMPLICATED BECAUSE LILLY HAS TO KILL CARLEY AND DOUG IN SEASON 1 AND EPISODE 4 AND THEY HAD TO LEAVE LILLY BEHIND AND CLEMENTINE DOESN’T LIKE HER DAD EITHER BECAUSE HE WAS BEING AN ASSHOLE TO LEE AND HE WAS SO NICE TO GET HIM A MEDICINE AND HE PUNCHED LEE AND LEFT HIM BEHIND SOOO ITS RIGHT TO HAVE AJ SHOOTING LILLY AND ALSO LARRY WAS LIKE BEING AN ASSHOLE TO DUCK TOO BECAUSE HE THINKS THAT DUCK WAS BITTEN AND HE WASN’T BITTEN AND ALSO LILLY MURDERED CARLEY AND DOUG SOOO AJ LEARN HOW TO SHOOT FROM LILLY AND THATS ALL HER FAULT AND BESIDES LILLY AND TENNESSEE BOTH MADE MURDERED MITCH
“Or we get attacked by a bunch of Abels?” OMG😂😂😂😂😂
I like to belive James died in both outcomes. He either goes on his own, finds a dead end and walkers catch up to him without his mask, or he fights walkers to protect you in pitch black darkness and gets killed.
Aj be like:"I got murder on my mind... I got murder on my mind!"
James and Clem were lowkey acting like they were married and had two children : Tenn( guud boy) and AJ the BBAAADDDAAASSS ( in a good and a bad way)
6:08 James you're right! NONE OF THIS *SHOULD* BE HAPPENING. That's called Bad Writing.
I wonder if there gonna do another walking dead sequel like 400 days
They wont... they barely managed to put this game together, if not fof skybound games we would never see the end of the story
@@ZielekTV Actually they can. Skybound bought the rights of Telltale's The Walking Dead, and if they have enough resources, they can make a DLC or even another season.
OMG i would die of happiness and cry so loud México could hear me
@@karinaweber4133 more like the entire america
Imo they should just make another story y'know? and even use some of the characters that were embarassarely written off due to the mess that telltale was, with the change of writing team everytime and all. Like many of the 400 Days characters that could've been used way better, or Christa, the Season 3 folks that survived too. I think a new story could work if the company responsible stays focused like the first season team.
Honestly, I have alot of sympathy for James
me too
