Sometimes, memories aren;'t so good to remember. It was sad when they tore down Clementon, but, hey, I applaud progress & all that, but like childhood, it slowly fades away. I wish for better prosperity for all of us who grew up in such a turmoil atmosphere. May our children not know the heartbreak & heartache that so many of us had to endure. As we get to the end of this long highway called life, remember the good times, the good friends, & especially hold on to those precious memories. WAYNE
I miss Clementon Lake Park I spent many a summer in the Gibbs home when my aunt was Alberta Gibbs live in housekeeper/caretaker I loved spending my summer days in the park I miss it so much The 70's were a great and wonderful time in my life
1:52 is the view down Blackwood-Clementon Road that I remember as a kid some 55 years ago. The white 3-story building on the left is Gruber's Tavern, the Gibbs coal tower for the railway are still standing at the right, and the train station and downtown area have not yet been demolished to make way for a large empty dirt lot. The Acme parking lot would be directly to the left of the photographer, and Sandberg's (home to the noisiest geese in the world) would have been behind and to the right on the other side of the road.
I'm creating something similar for Stratford, but I am adding captions to each photo. Many residents, past and present have shared stories about some photos I have posted on line. I am adding a section to the end of the slide show that will share many of these stories. I will add numbers to each slide so the added, numbered, dialog can be coordinated with each slide.

Awesome photos, but I would suggest re-doing it (keep James) and allow longer time for each photo. It's hard to read and see each in a few seconds.
So sad
