That’s an Ex-First bus. When First London lost their company in 2013, these buses transferred to other bus companies around London, including yours. I really love these buses, they sound so good, the interior is simply the best and it’s such a joy when these turn up on my local route!
Nice interior colours. Best when you sit down a bit - don't walk up & down too fast as it makes me feel dizzy...... Say 'enthusiasts' please rather than 'bus nerds' (I know garage talk is far worse than that). I've written for bus magazines for over 40 years & had my first photo published when I was 14 (got my PSV back in 1977 & still have it), so would rather not be thought of as a nerd Mr Bus Driver :) (pretty please). Good to see you back. Make the job work for you and enjoy it, it can be fun.
Thought I saw you today in South London towards Mitcham area or somewhere in the merton Borough today was you in the merton Borough today driving a bus
The town planners and developers have wrecked Lewisham many times over, all those skyscraper things, they seem to channel the wind at you, like at North Acton, where unless you have a windproof lighter, you can't get a ciggie to light up.
Believe me Go ahead aren’t that great, every company in London is mega short of drivers and it is for a reason. The new contracts are crap, still have some old London general contracts left with the old boys, but basically the job in London now is too stressful with the passengers and the other road users. Should be on £30 a hour not 18.
Yep definitely ex First London. The ex First London Buses 🚍 mainly went to Go Ahead London. I think other companies like Metroline I think also got some from First & possibly London United also. Not sure if other companies like Stagecoach London also took any from First London also.
Great Video and interesting, that route is not bad to drive. When you walking around on the bus your shoes sound like tap shoes when walking

They are distributed everywhere that was a ex First London garage. So you will find them still all over London.
