Lived and worked in Kilgore Texas, I am in the next town over now called Longview. Kilgore is quite a interesting little place. I know a lot of old stories about that place. :)
I grew up her and have been gone for a long time. Kilgore is one of those communities that is to big and small at the same time. To big of a history for the small town people to live up to. It’s like the Boom came and went and everyone is just waiting for it to happen again. But the more you get to know people you see people with big hearts and lots of love for one another, and of course… TEXAS.
Was born and raised in Kilgore, been here 43 years, beautiful place and I'll never leave I just wish I knew this guy was coming to town because I could have shown him all the Meth houses!!!
Bro...howd you not check out The Back Porch restaurant.? Kilgore staple.! Thanks for swingin by though. Big head trail, is 3 blocks from my house. Love it.
My childhood dance teacher was a Rangerette and I went to their Kick camp every summer! I joined drill team and made our captain’s line because of them! It changed my life❤️🤍💙
As an east Texan I’m proud you came to our small part of America is truly unique in that we’re a swamp who more are like the south itself than texas is odd but is our home
LOOOOOVE Brigitta's! Best bread I've ever had! We drive an hour from Jacksonville, TX, just to eat there. Chicken Paprikash is my favorite. And Kilgore is very charming. We'll probably check out the museums for my birthday in July. Update: The Texas Broadcast Museum is amaaaaazing!
What about the history of the music. John T Samples was a big part of that my great cousin or uncle. His children are the age of my father who is also a Samples. John worked for the drug store delivering medicine he played many instruments. What about the black history contribution to Kilmore I know my family heir is in a museum there for his music. Slavery isn't the only history of my people who helped build Kilmore.
i grew up here, & lemme tell you, you definitely make it seem more interesting than it is. 😂 edit: i decided to count how many people i recognized, & i got 9. 💀
Sir, your name on UA-cam is Chronically Smokin Chronic. Like… I’m going to go out on a limb here and say the Kilgore police kinda nailed it. Now, what you should have done is been a real good football player who went on to play D1 and was just home for a visit. Then they’ll let you go. Duh
East Texas is a whole different kind of Texas.

Helllll yeah, east Texas is the best part of Texas
It’s Home Sweet Home is what it is. I miss it.
My daughter was a Rangerette there a couple of years ago. I fell in love with that little town after all the visits to watch her dance.

You should have dropped by the mercantile. They sell home made jar goods there. And you missed out on the dragons nest. Our only game store in town.
