Cold Case was good at invoking the viewer's emotions, and this case does it so well, not just the innocent man being executed, but the small funeral for Tibbs combined with Hallelujah, and Tibbs' disappointed look at Jeffries :(. All politics aside, this is IMO the best episode of Cold Case. The story is crushingly tragic and Michael Jace does an amazing job portraying Andre. The look at the end between Andre's ghost and Jeffries brings back his "If the ball bounced a little differently, you'd be in here and I'd be out there" scene.
Just a great episode and, as other already mentioned, it's a credit to the show that they didn't pull the "saved at the buzzer" happy ending. It needed to be told this way to have meaning.

That's my logic as well. Unless criminology and the criminal justice both function 100 percent perfectly (which is simply impossible), the death penalty is simply unacceptable.
That's the paradox of the death penalty, that you simply cannot escape. If you believe someone who murders an innocent person deserves death, and you let the law murder an innocent person in your name, you also deserve death. No supporter of the death penalty has ever been able to beat this logic, and they never will.

I never understood why she said. I found faith. No she should have said " Go find Faith. Anyway it's sad and hurt my feelings because I never saw the ending coming. I believed him when he said He didn't do it. But never knew who

Nobody realized that Faith was the name of the daughter of the actual killer and was sexually assaulting her until she finally got away and was able to hide. The victim was assaulted and killed because she looked like his daughter. Sad episode. I do wonder if the real killer would have gotten the death penalty as he was white.

O peso da cena é tão gigante! Tudo poderia ter sido diferente se o promotor não tivesse sido um idiota e passado adiante a informação que teria dado mais tempo da equipe resolver o caso e evitar que o pior acontecesse.

What version of Hallelujah is this? I know that it says John Cale, but the versions I've found don't have the piano introduction from 0:00 to 00:39, which is the version I'm looking for.

Sad episode. I'd love to find this particular version of "Hallelujah" by John Cale, with the slow piano intro from 00:00 to 00:32.

Having seen this episode I can understand the correct reason for people to be against the death penalty even though I still favor the death penalty. However this episode doesn't prove that the death penalty is the culprit, mainly that the ADA/detective/whoever concealed the evidence was at fault entirely.
