I've been listening to Amorphis, Insomnium, Sonata Arctica and Stratovarius for years. I discovered Wintersun a few days ago. I'm massively Impressed. I don't understand why It totally flew under my radar.
There is so much mediocre main stream music being pushed in to our ears it is hard to find the good stuff. I think that is one of the reasons anyway. But you are here now :-)

Wintersun is a unique Band. I remember the time their first self-titled album released. Played on the loop while playing World of Warcraft. Amazing times. Death and the Healing and Sadness and Hate were my jam. Then the wait for the second album begun lol.
Those are also my two favorite songs from that first Wintersun album. Then I saw them live in 2018 and was blown away by Sleeping Stars, now I have three favorite songs from that album.
Most people do not want to listen to real music because it evokes real emotions in us where you do not want to feel. Because you fool yourselfs every day to survive, but you already know that there is an end to everything and that is the common wound of us all..
Right I love iron maiden, it's the band that introduced me to metal and I'll think I'll never stop loving them but damn those guys are 1000 times better then iron maiden, metalica and black sabbath all together. I only discowered them now, listened to only three song so far ('sons of winter and stars', 'time' and this one) and I can already tell they are one of my favourite bands and somehow I know that their songs you can never get tired of them.

Being at their live show in Chicago 2012 and hearing the whole audience (and me) start the opening to this song a few bars early and Jari's face lighting up is a memory I will never forget

Right I love iron maiden, it's the band that introduced me to metal and I'll think I'll never stop loving them but damn those guys are 1000 times better then iron maiden, metalica and black sabbath all together. I only discowered them now, listened to only three song so far ('sons of winter and stars', 'time' and this one) and I can already tell they are one of my favourite bands and somehow I know that their songs you can never get tired of them.
