- After visiting Tehran we went on to our next big city in Iran: Esfahan! And wow were we stunned by this beauty! This is the most beautiful city we ever visited. 🇮🇷There are beautiful mosques 🕌, bridges 🌉 as well as the most friendly people we have ever met. When visiting Iran Esfahan needs to be on your itinerary.

You look homesick, searching for familiar things that you are used to. When in Iran, drink tea and eat Iranian food. I never heard of Falafel, in the 18 yrs that I grew up in Iran. I should not be so harsh on you as you are really trying to absorb the culture.
Falafel is pretty common, it's not traditionally iranian, but it has been there for a looong time in big cities. My mom is 60 and she ate it when she was young a lot in isfahan
