GWAR "Fuck this Place" from "The Blood of Gods" album. The story of GWAR is carved across the history of this barren and hopeless planet, but GWAR themselves are not of this world… their story begins in the deepest reaches of outer space. Long ago, the beings who would become the rock band GWAR were part of an elite fighting force, the Scumdogs of the Universe. For eons, they served as thralls to a supreme being known only as the Master. But one by one, each future member of the band earned a glaring reputation for being an intergalactic fuck-up. And so, they were banished, sent away on a fool's errand to conquer an insignificant shitball floating in a dark corner of the universe; the planet Earth. Once here, GWAR shaped the face of the globe, destroying and rebuilding the natural world, and giving rise to all of human history. Aliens to some, gods and demons to others, our erstwhile Scumdogs fucked apes to create the human race, and this fateful unplanned pregnancy would prove to be truly disastrous!
Their new album, The Blood of Gods, is nothing less than a sacred text chronicling the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that is uptight and wrong with the world. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of their great mistake, from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are; a parasitical disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry.
Of course, The Blood of Gods is the first GWAR album without the band's fallen leader, Oderus Urungus. The title of the album refers to the loss of Oderus and the struggles and triumphs that produced the new sound of the band. Born of adversity, The Blood of Gods is a sonic scar… a question asked and answered… Death cannot kill GWAR. Nothing can. GWAR LIVES MOTHERFUCKERS!

LYRICS:
Out of time
We were banished here
For our crime
Incarcerated on this
Ball of slime
Primeval wasteland
[Beefcake: “I killed a dinosaur!”]
We fucked apes
Giving birth to the
Human race
your existence was a
Big mistake
Our bastard offspring
So we said...
Fuck this place
Now you rise
We cut you, beat you, crush you
Still you rise
Our children grow into what
We despise
I fucking hate you
[JiZMak:“you think you’re better than me?”]
Oderus
You left us stranded on this
World of pus
And in death you have forsaken us
This planet fucking sucks!
So we say...
(Fuck this place)
I’ll bring you pleasure
I’ll bring you pain
I’ll bring you truth like a bullet to your brain
(fuck this place)
And there she lies
Her corpse you kissed
Your bitch is dead, still you scream “RESIST”!
(fuck this place)
Oh, Liberty.
What did they do?
They ripped your dress and
what a mess
They took a shit on you
(fuck this place)
We watched you rise
You made us fall
Stupid humans brought an end to it all
Now we're back
With fury in our hearts we
Attack back
We're coming at you like a
Maniac
We're not done yet, man
[MC Chris:”#blotharruinedgwar”]
Final call
Our rage cannot be dulled by
Alcohol
And as for you, I care
Bugger all
I hope you all rot!
Still we say...
FUCK THIS PLACE!!
dear Gwar, How much would it cost to hire you to play this song as I quit my job? Full costume and blood.
@kunta kinte that is a steal
Your soul
I'd go as far as having them play this at my funeral.
How many severed heads can you get

Brockie had the raddest distinct original voice but this is still a blast.
morgan evans ya man Brockies voice was defiantly the best
oderous
Its not the same without him, seen them 6 times more than any other band I watched. They are my favorite concert band and i love them dearly , but its not the same. The new guy does his thing amd i respect that, no hate there, just misss the brock.
Yeah this is a good jam. Its deff not the same but gwar doesnt die
This song wouldn't have happened.. I give love to the Inc.. for giving us this good shit.
Absolutely wrecked me when Oderous passed but I'm glad to see they're carrying on. It's different but at least we didn't lose Gwar altogether, rock/metal needs all the help it can get atm
Passed? Nah, he just finally left this planet like he's wanted all along.
Yea metal needs a sense of humor, to many elitist and gatekeepers.
No he was murdered by the new world order
Suicided by the Clinton crime family

Blothar sounds awesome. I hope this incarnation of Gwar continues strong! This song kicked ass
Can't wait to hear the rest!
Gwar lives! Gwar rules!
Hank Hill agree. Badass
Jesus hank you are literally every where I go on UA-cam
Hank Hill tf is with the taste of music..
Funfact...Blothar is Michael Bishop: A.k.a The ORIGINAL Beefcake the Mighty!
His voice makes me feel like old school hard rock style \m/
Loved it. The guitar solos, Bishops vocals and the tribute to Oderus. Blothar does what he does well. Regardless who is the lead singer, GWAR will continue for 1000 years with all kinds of people, for it is a force that will not cease until all life is extinct.
I have to admit, I'm really excited for this new album. I miss Oderus, as we all do, but Bishop is no noob. He gets it. I do really miss the marbled steak bass of Beefcake though. Love that axe.
Much to my regret I spent 30 years underestimating GWAR, then last year I was at a festival and I figured I should give them a proper listen- because if nothing else they might have learned to play their instruments over the last 30 years.
Fuck me, was I ever wrong. Great band and I wish I'd given them more time in the past, but I'm trying to make up for it now.
Been to see GWAR again since. Can't believe it took so long to get them.
It's okay alot of us just thought they were a joke until we actually saw how skilled they can be.
exactly
Same here
I'm beyond thrilled GWAR is still going. Michael Bishop fits in perfectly back with the band. Glad it's someone who has a history with the band and its origins coming out of Richmond. Can't wait for more!
I was very iffy about GWAR with out Oderus/Brockie, but after hearing this, im sold. this is awesome. long live GWAR!
"We're not done yet, men." That part touched my heart. Long live GWAR.
Me too. Gets your blood fisting, donut?
What?
This song live is insane. You just wanna smash everything and everyone around you
I saw it live last year, holy shit, all I remember is flipping off the stage screaming "fuck this place!" along with GWAR. It doesn't matter what is going on in your life, this is the ultimate way to vent.
If you've not seen GWAR with Blothar live, you're REALLY fucking missing out. It's still the same old GWAR, just the old Beef is now singing all the time. Always loved his voice anyways, so give them a fucking chance people! Brockie wanted this to keep going, abide by his wishes and keep riding along with the rest of the bohabs, slaves, and gwarriors! HAIL BLOTHAR! HAIL GWAR!
no....I don't agree....GWAR just needs to show the respect to Dave and call it quits and Mike Bishop needs to understand that....he was part GWAR when Dave was there, but now just give it up...be respectful to a someone who had talent and vision and unfortunately is no longer with us
Dave himself said he wanted the band to move forward. They are showing him respect by not hanging it up.
Still sounds GWAR to me, love this band.
fuck it, honestly, I could give 3 sugar free shits what anyone else thinks, I STILL love em, STILL gunna support em if no one else does, more for me. Punk rock enough for ya Hoss?
Brockie himself said in an interview that the band could go on for a thousand years. He said someday he could be gone and someone else would step in. It's actually kind of creepy.
R.I.P Dave brockie A.K.A Oderus Urungus 1963-2014, we will miss you totally
Ron LivingStone *500,000,000,000BC-Too soon.
RIP
Fuck, this shit actually sounds heartfelt and emotional. It's still the thrashy Gwar I love but there was a lot of care put into this.
"Oderus
You left us stranded on this world of pus
And in death you have forsaken us" Brockie was a genius, and a pure heart. Im glad he didnt live to see what our species had become in the years past. Im not glad hes gone, but im glad he didnt have to see this.
Loving the updates to costumes, especially Balsac, Pustulus, and Blothar
Seeing Gwar live is an experience I will never forget, had the time of my life getting sprayed with blue stuff getting my white Metallica t shirt dyed blue and red
Yes... They're masters
Gwar was not Brockie, Beefcake was in since the beginning. I'm glad they are still playing, I guess that's what Brockie would have wanted.
It's exactly what he wanted. Which is why the old Beefcake came back. Glad to see someone sees that GWAR wasn't just Brockie
Brockie was the only original member left in Gwar though. Not disagreeing with you at all. It is what he would have wanted
astrogallotron it kind of was Brockie lol to be honest
Brockie was indeed like 50% of GWAR. His presence allowed no less. But if a GWAR line-up still exists in 50 years I think Brockie as well as the rest would be proud. After 33 years the entity GWAR is still something special.
astrogallotron I agree but do not like the direction they went with their music style.
This new vocalist is a MUCH better attempt to replace Oderus Urungus. Almost as good as the legend himself. RIP Dave Brockie.
No he's complete shit compared to dave
@@Gabe-ru9po everyone's shit compared to oderus
Nobody is attempting to replace Oderus. This is GWAR continuing on after Oderus. Just like when Flattus died and Pustulus was brought in to add his own sound to the band, not mimic Flattus'.
Isn't blothar the one that sings pussy planet at the end of AMBD?
@@palainanoctem3776 he is the one who sang cool place to park
Still a fan after 25 years - hail Gwar!
i am a die hard gwar fan i don"t care who the new lead singer is , gwar will always have a place in my heart
I miss Oderus but its great to see Gwar are still covering the world in blood..
The moment I heard that opening guitar riff, one thought and one thought only spread through my brain:
"Our masters have returned."
Dave may have started GWAR, but that doesn't mean that he was GWAR. GWAR is really just an ideology of being different than the rest and having a good time, just put into a band. So if you really think about it all of us are GWAR. Every fan of the band is GWAR. GWAR lives inside of all of us
Saw them play this one on the Warped Tour since they decided to cancel GWAR-B-Q this year. While it's not the same without Dave, it still is GWAR, and it's still extremely entertaining. Long live GWAR!
You see Suicide Silence, this is how you continue to kick ass after losing a vocalist!!!!
Nihilism110 oh fuck lol. I definitely agree.
yup
I would say they sound better without Mitch
Lol suicide silence, this isn't a highschool "metal" clique.
Gotta sound good to begin with lol
I'm here cause my mom told me she went to one concert of them when she was younger and the covered everyone in fake blood. She later went to a corner store and scared everyone in the building. Had to plead them not to call the cops. Now I'm listening to them and kinda like them.
U have a good mum
I was expecting this to take a decidedly Beavis And Butthead Do America type of turn.
Long Live GWAR!!! It brakes my heart that Oderous is no longer with us physically. The world needs him more than ever now a days, but we owe it to carry the torch the best that we can.
Gwar is still awesome live!!! If you haven't gone to see them you are missing it
GWAR LIVES! GWAR RULES!
Hell of a song to hear live. Crowd gets crazy. This has become my anthem.
FUCK YEAH GWAR ARE BACK
Damn
Gwar still kicking my ass
Got to see them this summer. this new gwar was great live also read their comic series by dynamite comics
They have a comic series?!
Dont need notifications. And i love this.
this band is probably the # 1 underrated in history, run in to some of their music now at day and wtf!its really good,i use to have a cassette fron them back in the 90s,and now today a fucking metal beast.
3 years after the fact this is still my favorite workout song of all time.
1:14 “What you think you’re better than me?!” 😂
Still love gwar! Blothar is 'utterly' brutal
Yep that's it
I remember the local rock dj talking about how he dropped acid and went to a GWAR show and it kicked in just as the show started. Can you imagine????
Why is no one talking about the guitar though? That's one of the sickest guitar riffs I had ever heard!
Is it just me or does the vocals remind you of Gerre from Tankard?????
The Underemployed Guitar Guys I was thinking that too!
I was thinking that too
LET GWAR RULE FOR EONS!!!
I’m glad they gave a little tribute to oderus on this song. Very nice.
3 weeks into quarantine and you be like... FUCK THIS PLACE!
I thought gwar wasn't a band anymore. Guess I was wrong \m/.
I hate people that say they stopped listening to GWAR after Dave passed.
Dave would hate you even more.
I went to that show! It was fucking amazing I had blood in my face. I'm definitely going to see them again!
G̴̝͚̞͐̈́͝W̴̝̝̟̿͛Á̵̠̫͕͒͠R̸͙͍̟̾́́ has lost a significant portion of their soul with the absence of Dave. RIP
For those hating on Blothar, I would remind you that he was the lead singer on several GWAR classics way back in the early days. "Cool Place to Park," "Pussy Planet," and "The Road Behind" are absolute classics.
Suggesting to my Richmond VA area library play this in their Richmond historical collection rooms
Studio Blothar and stage Blothar are both the same which is awesome! Long live GWAR
Mike Bishop returning to the band to keep them together and help them move on is just beautiful. He was there from the earliest days, and I don't think anyone else could have picked up the reins like him.
God love the original "Beefcake."
This song is my go-to for sitting in traffic
I thought Blothar sounded familiar as hell, so I googled it, and it turns out that he's played by Michael Bishop, who played Beefcake the Mighty from 88-94, and 98-99. While I really miss Dave, I think they made a great choice making him their new frontman. ALL HAIL ODEROUS AND FLATTUS!!
Like the new Blothar style, hate the new Beefcake helmet... Too tiny. Before I knew much about GWAR I'd tell people "that band where the guy has like a big I-beam on his head?"
Anyway, I've replayed this video a bunch of times now, keep on doing what you do best, guys.
I miss Oderus, but the spirit is still there. Never let GWAR die, even if you have to replace every last human slave in the process!
Whoa this is cool!
If anyone tells you these guys suck they were probably too scared to ever go see them live. This song in particular brings down the house. Never gets old
I'm drinking an extra beer tonight in honor of Oderus and Blothar.
This music is fucking beautiful.
Great uplifting music ❤
Gwar is immortal.
Somewhere.... in another Galaxy.. this song is so fucking heavy.. Oderus can hear the bohabs screaming FUCK..... THIS.... PLACE!
Blothar looks pretty badass.
Saw both iterations live, and they both stand to eachother.
Stop the bitterness.
their abs look like they were drawn on with sharpie and i love it
I put this song on every time I leave work.
Just got off work, needed this.
New opening to Berserk Anime.wouldn't that be sick af?
this sounds better and better. go on boys.dont let the kneck snap. love you guys
Mad live for gwar, glad there still kicking ass....thanks guys
Never has the term "musical monsters" fit so perfectly and literally
just saw them with nekrogoblikon and crobot
holy FUck I'm hooked
watching and listening to all i can
FUCKING genius and underrated
rip and thank you to all- whoever had a hand in
The odorous tribute always makes me so happy
what i say when i leave work
Best band ever. Been a fan for over 30+ years. Here's is to 30+ more years of fandom.
This is awesome
These guys never get old
I'm a big rap fan not that it matters but damn this shit is heavy
Oh how I long for Lust. In. Space!
I miss this shit. Feels like lifetimes ago
Best song of all time
I immediately think of this song when I walk into work
Even though Oderus Urungus is no longer on this floating dust ball anymore Blothar carries on his legacy and the GWAR legion still marches!!
I will always love Gwar and am grateful they are still going strong but without Brockie I just cant get into them
Same man, he's irreplaceable.
It ain't Dave but the next best thing. Bishop is a great singer himself. "Cool place to park"? Anyone
LOVE blothars new costume.. he really fits in well.. i dont think no one else could of done it....
This songs so good it gave me chills...for the first time since that fateful day..
the heart and soul of the world
I dedicate this song to my school
Gwar continues cutting a bloody path through history
im so fucking excited to see them this october
Not the same but I can still dig it
Glad they are still around...
I remember seeing them at Warped Tour 2017
All hail the scumdog overlords!!! May Odorus ride for ever in vallhal
.
Wow, this is good shit.
Still miss Dave. Still miss Oderus. You left us stranded on this world of pus.
But I will follow GWAR forever until the end of goddamn time.
Love this song
Holy crap I can't wait for the new album!
