Great video! You are an inspiration. I began my very first Nora this month. It’s been a challenge, mostly due to the fact I chose Belfast linen and have never used that before either!! Still learning . . . Happy Stitching 🧵🪡 Jacque 🐑
I just love your gnome pillow, so darn cute! I would love to know for sure what you stitched it on, can please let me know. Thank you and I look forward to your next episode.
I wish I knew, it was an unlabeled scrap from a bag of fabric I acquired at an estate sale. If I were to hazard a guess- I would say it is somewhere around a 20/22 count (???) it is bigger than my 28 count regulars by a bit. Three strands over two was perfect. It is ecru, with a soft texture-y flake almost like a fiddlers cloth would have. I know that is not terribly helpful- but hopefully it will get you headed towards finding something similar. :)
After only a month or so, the new city, state, home - yes, they are different. They will become yours as you are a warm person who seems to be a “nester”. Many, many moves have taught me to take in the newness as adventures, sometimes lonely, sometimes stressful. You have done a great job settling your home. At least your sister is not too far away. Your stitching is marvelous. I love your choices for fabrics. Good eye!
It’s a male trait… my husband squashes pillows too. 😂. I absolutely loved seeing your Mira WIPs, kits and charts. There was heaps I’d either never seen or never appreciated before. Sapphire Fairy looks stunning already… looking forward to seeing more of Fairy Moon as well, her fabric is gorgeous. ❤
Beautiful projects as always and I love the fabrics you use, especially the one you are stitching "Lavender Fairy" on, the one for the "Fairy Moon" and the one you are planning for "Miss Christmas Eve", oh especially that one looks fantastic! Also both of the fabrics you are thinking for the "Autumn Quaker", they are beautiful. I am so jealous I can't get those here! Your pillow finish looks really cute, you found, as always, the perfect fabric for it. I just realized how many times I said that I like the fabric you use, well I hope I don't sound ridiculous I just like them, I think you have it with the fabrics, you always know which one to use 😊 Thanks for the great episode and really looking forward to seeing you again 🥰🧵🪡🧚🧚♂🧚♀ P.S. believe it or not I am still waiting for my "In praise of pollinators" pattern and threads 😐I really hope I will get it at a point and that I'll manage to catch up with you all 🏃♀
Hello, Laura! You never cease to amaze me with how perfectly you can hand dye a fabric to compliment a beloved design. Your fabric for In Praise of Pollinators is wonderful! Thank you for the mention! I love your Flossy Fox Shop wip! Yes ,i understand the contrast of Washington/Oregon and Utah. I've lived in Washington 20 years and in different parts of Utah for 20+ years . The difference of the skies is so true. I really enjoy the crisp air of Utah, its gorgeous sunsets, and bright blue skies! I sure do miss the ocean, as you say. It really was such a privilege to be so close before. As long as I make it to the ocean every couple years, I'm normally sated. Great catching up with you!🥰
I love watching your Videos. I love seeing all of your Projects - soon to be projects. Beautiful Progress on your WIPS. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵❤️
So great to see your smiling face and an update on life. I loved your Mira May and all the goodness along with it. I also love the fabric you got for the Christmas Mira fairy. I gotta have something like that. Take care until next time. ❤❤❤
I love your Mirabilia collection. That is definitely an odd choice for the centre phrase on the Lila Studio pattern. Hadn’t seen that one before. I would change it too. Gorgeous pillow finish. Looks awesome. 😊
Thank you for your video today, definitely looking forward to the quilt video! MiraMay has inspired me to try one I think, maybe next year lol! Happy Stitching!
Always love your videos. 💕 As a fairly new stitcher (January), I squealed out loud with excitement when you showed Strawberry Farm by Flossy Fox Shop, because I'm working on it too! First time I've ever seen one of my WIPs 'on tv' 😂 Oddly exciting! My husband was a bit bemused 😂
Enjoyed your new video while cutting out the Kaffe Fassett Seed Packet quilt. Love all your stitching projects and dreams. Moving is no joke. You look settled in your space. Where's puppy today?
Wow, your fabrics for Fairy Moon and Miss Christmas are gorgeous - plum/Merlot and preserved ginger (drat, now I'm hungry) 🤣 Those projects are going to be so good. 😊
Thank you for another lovely video. Don't watch many utubers for cross stitching so I welcome any thing you care to share. Thank you and take care until next time. :)
What a lovely video! Thank you for sharing all your projects, it’s a joy watching you! Can you tell me what printer and paper do you use please? Your printed patterns look very sharp. Thanks 🤗
Hi Laura. Thank you for the wonderful video 💜 Your pillow is gorgeous. You did an amazing job on it. I hope your husband doesn’t squish this one and I hope you still have 10 toes when we see you next 😜😜
Praise the pollinators is soooo cute! Love it! May I ask, (lol pun) what do you prefer to stitch on? Aida or linen? What’s your preferred count? Thank you for your videos!
It really depends on the day- which is probably why I have projects underway on both. I love on linen how it becomes less dominant than the stitching. I love that Aida is so easy to stitch on, and generally if I am planning to finish in pillow or something that will be handled- it is a bit more durable than linen. I am not sure I have a favorite- I love them both!
Another great video. I sent you an email. I’ll put my floss tube name in the subject section with the stitching . my best friend lives there but she’s moving but it’s up in the air so when she’s moving and even to where she’s moving. So that’s why I’m probably gonna be out there in September, she has a stitching group at her house. She also has a floss tube channel but I don’t know how many more times are going to be meeting before she moves again it’s up in the air. I went to my local Salvation Army two weeks ago, and I managed to score 9 memorabilia patterns. I was so excited. I’ve ordered the bead kits and a lot of the krenick for them but not all. So next is the water lilies I guess probably next month and then fabric. I already have two Mirabillia on the go, so looks like I’m going to do Mira mania all year long.
Hi 👋 Laura !! I loved visiting with you today. I’m loving the deeper color for Autumn Quaker and I’m also on the hunt for something similar. Your fairy moon fabric is to die for !! I always love seeing what you pick for a project. I can relate to how you are feeling with the big move and change of environment. I grew up in Kelowna BC and now in the centre of Canada where it’s flat. It took awhile to “feel” like home. In time you will feel it too however, in your heart the west coast will always be “home” plus now you have a great place to go back and visit !!! ❤
Your pillow finish is lovely…what did you stuff your pillow form with? I had a lovely note from Jeannine about the printing error in Pollinators…I am assuming you will chat about it when you are stitching the bat area. I really like the way you chat as you show your stitching…so personal and fun.
I filled it with PollyFil- nothing fancy- just what I had on hand. :) I will definitely mention it when we get to that corner- thanks for the heads up! I made notes.
It always takes me several months after moving for my new place to feel like home. I am visiting Utah in 2 1/2 weeks and I hope to move out west within 5 years! I ❤ how much joy stitching brings you and love your channel 😊
I will either make a working copy that I can tape together- or lay them out in front of me side by side. I always seem to goof if I flip back and forth. lol
Men do not understand that cushions are not to be used for sitting on! My Mum always has nice decorative cushions on her sofa and over the years I know not to sit on them but place them next to the sofa when I sit down. My husband always gets into trouble with her....I have teenagers so I don't even bother putting nice cushions anywhere near the sofa at all!!!!
Great video! You are an inspiration. I began my very first Nora this month. It’s been a challenge, mostly due to the fact I chose Belfast linen and have never used that before either!! Still learning . . . Happy Stitching 🧵🪡 Jacque 🐑
I enjoyed your video as usual. I also stitched Cinderella and the Christmas ones. They are very pretty and you will enjoy them.
🌻🌻🌻
It's never, ever a weird video with you...just fun! Your MIras are beautiful ❤
So many beautiful stitches. Loving the Mira May. 💜💜
Your Mira progress looks great. Yes blue skies with fluffy white clouds are beautiful. Happy stitching!
Your Mira's are so beautiful, I enjoyed seeing all of them.

Love your finishes and your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
Ha! My husband is a pillow squisher for 38 years and counting 😂
I have an old HP OfficeJet 4655- and I think I bought my last ream of paper at Target?? I will see if I can't find more info on that.

Welcome to Utah! Love your work. I’m watching you while stitching on the butterfly Mira. On the green linen. It’s STUNNING. Good luck!

Did you make the project bag for the Arctic animals SAL? It’s so cute!
I did! Thank you! :)
I had to pause you and go online to order Spirited Stump right away. So glad that you showed us this.

I am just kitting up Fairy Idyll. I can’t decide on a fabric though.

I bought the pollinators pattern. How do you stitch the center when the pattern is split in the middle?
