I am surprised you didn't mention Olvia where the first part of the questline begins. I realize it has the big brown bear, but two stables are close for repairs and there are plenty of elk and boar to level up on.. That is where my leveling started. Good video by the way because I don't know much about hunting and this really helps me move it forward.
So, I liked the guide, but I want to add a bit more detail on a couple of points you made in the money section. 1. Shadow Lions are a "potentially" fantastic place to farm. Over a few hours they average pretty high in terms of money per hour thanks to their heads dropping, and I've also found them to be really good for farming artifacts, but they're also very, very, RNG dependent. Getting well over a billion per hour isn't surprising, but since their good loot is all rare drops and their regular loot is only alright, just 100m per hour's also a possibility even at 1500+ hunting. Also, if you are just after lion meat/blood, do the one in Valencia, you can get a lot more of those resources per hour there thanks to the lions being closer together and weaker and there being a bonus quest that gives lion meat, plus it's much more approachable as a weaker hunter than the shadow lions since they do far less damage. 2. I did the math, and unless I missed a head, all of them are going to average higher if you upgrade and sell on the central market than they would at even guru 50 trading. However, since the hunting buff made hunting so much more popular, some heads basically don't sell in any kind of a reasonable timeframe so it can be annoying to try to sell them over the marketplace and see them sit for weeks. This'll probably change in a patch at some point if they ever overhaul trading, but that's how things stand at the moment.
Nice video :) only 2 points: on low mastery for save money you can take matchlog from progression pass (hunting on top) and if you have money and want fast hunting progress buy only Manos hunting clothes (it has % exp bonus then green or blue clothes)
The wolves quest was tough - had no hunting or life skill accessories. At some point the wolf called in the pack and sometimes even fixes would agro too. I had beginner and apprentice matchlocks and had to switch to the second weapon acouple times as the pack swarmed. (I’ve only played a couple months and I was fairly low level when I tried it - maybe 30-35)
Hunting Yaks in Dreighan give good hunting exp. During the hunting exp+ event, I had all my non-hunting alts get to hunting artisan just for the heck of it. It took only one sitting to get to artisan if I have a bunch hunting/life exp buffs active.
Nice video! One thing I wonder is why nobody uses the free outfits you get for doing the main questlines. They give +2 Attackspeed so I always equip one of those to get to +5 Attackspeed without having to use additional potions :)
hey evildousharm one question in your other video you showed that you moved to eilton you do your life skills all with your one main character right ? that means you run all the way to odyllita for hunting rhinos and than run all the way back to eilton for cooking, farming etz ? my life skill char is my shai and i never used a horse in my now 2200h i only have the free horses from the story quests and one free t8 from daily log in rewards i think :D
What do you think about life vs grind for now i am grinding in aakman and i am guru 10 hunter which one should I do i can't choose for silver i love both of them
Great guide but i have. Bit of a problem i made it to artisan 5 but when i go to hunt most things every shot is a miss is it due to the lack of knowledge of an animal or am i doing something wrong
Thanks for the video, I did the whole questline to unlock the reload while rolling, but the skill does not work, do I need to be master 1 for it to register? Or any clue?
Is there any other use for crystals in hunting? If not it would be a no brainer to use crystals instead of elixirs to get crit and atk speed to max., you should add that at some point
Well to start off, you don't need mastery to start any life skill, it will probably make things easier if you've got it but getting that much mastery early game will be a pain in the ass.
Hi I tried doing hunting on console with only the matchlock no hunting gear or accessories. I killed goats bears wolf boar and I didn’t receive any exp. Was that bcuz those are not the hunting mobs or I’m low mastery?
Someone may have asked this question, but would the areas for the grass rhinos and the mountain goats (Mountain of Eternal Winter animals) with the strange name be available for console? Thank you for making this guide! I have a much better idea on how to go about hunting now. :)
to start i like to hunt the elk just east of crons castle since they dont attack then i move to just north east of epheria with all the giant wolves and giant foxes their blood also sells well if you not an alch
I was trying to to the hunting questline, but with the quest ''shoot birds in the sky'' my rifle doesnt aim and I cannot kill anyt seagulls, anyone solved it?
hello Levi thank you for you content i mean it. i want ye to know the most i hear in bdo about you is leveling guide to 53 outdated. we brag about ye mate but ye critics say that lvling outdated. but hell they dont know tho i lvled fallowing most i could outdate and still made it jsut fine. its evough just takes longer
The cursor trick doesn't work anymore. Now when you click on an animal it only shoots once so if you didn't kill it in the first shot you have to click again. Did anyone notice this too or is my game somehow bugged? Cause it would be pretty bad if they removed this.
You may have completed it on another character, go find Chuck Laurie outside Olvia and complete his quests (3 quests i think?) and then you can do the rest of the Dreaming of a Better Hunt quests. I had this same problem and did this process today.
So basically i cant hint anything until i spend millions on the AH to buy some gear? Is this the same for all of the profs as i cant mine, chop trees but i can collect atuff from bushes 😂
"Complete Beginner's Guide", then proceed to talk about elite level character stuff. Not seen a single thing that my level 10 character can use in this video, what the hell man? You seem to speak english well enough that you shouldn't be making this kind of mistake. This is an elite player new to the Hunter skill guide, someone with billions of silver...
about the best classes, the mystic is the best passive and the tamer is the best active IMO. and Crit dmg doesn't affect the hunting dmg so don't pick guardian because of that.
@@Matthew-ij3zm idk what is LS discord, and I would love to see those tests. but as much as I know that you only crit 100% of dmg in hunting no mater what your crit dmg is, and that is why crit rate is more important
wild guess but, id assume for new players getting into life skills, and for players like me who have been away from the game for a very long time and cant figure out what it is we want to do yet? lol ive watched maybe 7 different videos on lifeskills today and still trying to decide which i want to work on
Everything that is said in the first 10minutes or so is irrelevant. You do not need any mastery to start hunting or to use an artisan matchlock. Go to the top right of your screen near the 'Search NPC function' and find the 'Progression Pass' button. From there you can navigate to the Hunting/Butchering tab. Pick whatever 8 objectives are easiest for you and you can then unlock the [Event] Beginners Hunting Matchlock. At Hunting Damage +2100, you can use this matchlock all the way to artisan 10 where you can then spend 750 million silver on a +10 Master Matchlock.
I am surprised you didn't mention Olvia where the first part of the questline begins. you're kidding me, irght? i just finished your older hunting guide like 2h ago and was looking for the slideshot quest. you're a legend
Last night I checked your channel for an updated Hunting guide, woke up to see this :)

You need to delete this message right now, before ppl find out that shadow lion is the better version of stars end and crush lion head market

I haven't got the slightest idea of what your talking about, I just started playing this game 2 days ago.
Awesome! I was just asking someone about this today and now this video answered all my questions. Thank you!
Great guide as usual. I've been putting off hunting since I didn't know enough about the possibilities, will be much easier to start now. Thanks!
I absolutely love your tutorials you always do an insane job at explanations of everything
Damn you Levi...why did you have to spill the bean on the Eilton goat hunting area.
The wolves quest was tough - had no hunting or life skill accessories. At some point the wolf called in the pack and sometimes even fixes would agro too. (I’ve only played a couple months and I was fairly low level when I tried it - maybe 30-35)
So this guide has been useful even if you stop at the gearing and consumables info.
Amazing guide as usual, definitely gonna pick up hunting when i have enough mastery for arti matchlock, thanks for the guide!
just what i needed, thank u bdo Jesus
Hunting Yaks in Dreighan give good hunting exp.

Just do grass rhinos if you want exp, nothing comes close
Dude ur format is so fucking clean
The goat back with another video
Been waiting for this, but now I'm close to master 1 and now trynna get tet manos.
Nice video! One thing I wonder is why nobody uses the free outfits you get for doing the main questlines. They give +2 Attackspeed so I always equip one of those to get to +5 Attackspeed without having to use additional potions :)
I think its about the Mastery on the other outfits that people are aiming for

How much are you netting per HR at Aakman? I havent been there in a minute
@@killumination87 like 500

there it is! there it is!!!
Great guide! Any clues about why rolling with an empty magazine does not give me a bullet? I've done the whole questline.... :(
As a beginner this is super helpful but also what the crap, Guru 33 on cooking??? oO I didn't know it got that high....
What do you think about dark knight for life skill?
Thanks for the video, I did the whole questline to unlock the reload while rolling, but the skill does not work, do I need to be master 1 for it to register? Or any clue?

I also use the hunter outfit converted with a tailoring coupon inzo a costume for the 10% exp

best guide . im finaly hit master 10 . i can make 400-430m silver in 1hour. thanks
the mountain Goats are quest mob also for mountain of Eternal Winter Storyline

What is the closest place to level hunting near Heidel?
Thanks! Now beginner gankers know where to look if they get tired of killing people autopathing their horses.
I was trying to to the hunting questline, but with the quest ''shoot birds in the sky'' my rifle doesnt aim and I cannot kill anyt seagulls, anyone solved it?
Does HUNTING+butchering for meat (example. Lion meat), yield more meat/blood/skin/etc. than just killing the mobs with a normal weapon and butchering?
Yes
I am personally using Blink of an eye lightstone combo for faster reload opposed to crit hit rate, wondering if I should switch.
Also, do you have any idea how to check attack speed on cast based classes? My sorc (main) shows only casting speed.
so my roll never reloads a bullet and ive completed dreaming of a better hunt quest line idk
I don't get it... Why verdure hunting is more profitable than wolfs? Do you get more meat?

the roll reload doesn't seem to work. maybe it got nerfed.

You may have completed it on another character, go find Chuck Laurie outside Olvia and complete his quests (3 quests i think?) and then you can do the rest of the Dreaming of a Better Hunt quests. I had this same problem and did this process today.
Is there any way to distinguish normal mob wolf from hunting wolf?
Hunting animals have [wild] written above their name
Hunting creatures have 'wild' written above their names
Is it possible to solo whale and khalk?
I been using my shai for hunting so does that character height really matter much ?
No
yes, it can cause you to miss some shots if you don't raise your camera height...not a huge deal, but it does happen.
notification status! hii

Getting Hunting clothes is damn near impossible unless you can make it yourself. It’s sold out, constantly
Let’s gooooo!!! 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Why is there not a quest just to get a free matchlock to begin!
How is this a NEW player guide, to the hunting????
Where do I get all that money as a new player to buy all that gear????
but how much money u actually do
Loggia items are cheaper from Camellia Loggia at Loggia Farm. They are 'only' 1 million.
Considering a seasonal character after like 3 days can easily make 200+ mil an hour...1 million is most definitely only in this game at this point.
