One thing to mention also it’s more an advanced tip. When between 0-50 on a bracket if you just can’t get the bracket use fig pie instead of cron meal for extra drop rate %. Otherwise you can you the mastery elixir if you’re only 10 off the bracket .
I like Awakening Lahn for gathering since she has a spammable skill to taunt all enemies around her and you can just AOE once and do quite a bit of gathering in one spot
As of early 2025, some items, explained here, were removed. But still applies. I also agree that Musa excels in gathering because of his dashes. I'm still deciding if I should keep lifeskilling with my Shai. Not only that, but I transferred my slots and weight a couple of years ago to a Musa, but I can't get a hold on mob grinding with the Succession Musa, lol. So I went back to my Shai. But I feel like with Musa, I was able to gather way more items than with my Shai. I'll give it a second chance to Musa for sure.
I've always really enjoyed the Shai. Mostly due to the weight factor, and I rather enjoy the boomerang weapon attacks, and we can ride them too, so style!
I'd love to get more into gathering but my past sessions have been very sobering. I have a full budget setup (duo manos + 2x floramos + blue tool tri) with full mastery buffs around 1200ish. Yet I make maybe 400 mil at best aegris chopping at ash forest with energy potions on cd. And I don't really have interest in processing/cooking afk since it kinda requires guru to be even somewhat profitable, so that CM sale income is all there is. I get maybe 20-30 Hards per hour which would take like 15 hours to have enough for a reblath failstack session.
Shai also has campfire to help energy recovery I set one up and process what I'm gathering once weight or energy becomes an issue then continue to give me more farm time
Great video but you need to redo that in a couple weeks sadly. First of all Lianas bad will be changed shortly so that the tools are not char bound anymore. The lianas bag will be an account item like the family inventory and ever char can use the same set of gathering tools. You could have mentioned that. And the bigger change is that we only will have ONE type of trees, meat and sap. So no more lions meat and snake meat... we will just have meat. That will be such a gigantic QoL for cooking as you can imagine.
maaan i just came back to the game and was so sad to hear that alchemy is still being neglected by PA! they've made so many huge improvements and qol additions to the game and i was sure that redeeming alchemy would finally have been one of them lmao. thanks for the video anyway :)
New player here since July 2023. Sorry for being off-topic, but I can't figure out how to use alchemy stones. I equip it in my inventory and ring menu, but when I try to use it, it says not enough materials. What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help me? Character i want to play as season char is Sage. I don't think sages use hammers. Soo if i reroll, my sage will be weaponless, have to work normal way to get as good gears as naru/tuvala?
i am trying to gather lots of meat, and my gathering mastery is only at 300+ i was hoping i could get more meat per gather, should i still use magic butcher tool? or its better to get a tool with higher mastery? does magic tool also increases gather drop amount? or just the drop rate?
i just returned to bdo after a long time and i am shocked about the low cooking income per / h on bdolytics, does this have to do with the gathering minigames? it also says something like lions is 500/h i guess the numbers are not updated for the minigame and cooking is still big right? or did the meta change?
the profit /hr for cooking perceived as decreasing because of cap price increase for meats, where before most of the profit come from cooking, now it's went to gathering instead.
How much of this translates to console? I'm looking to get into the game on console but was under the impression they are at different stages of the games life cycle, so just wondering if this goes for console as well?
Console is a few years behind PC at this point. I think most of this is right though. Check your market, if you have loggia gear, then this video will apply (because then you had the mastery update)
dont agree on x10 quest.. yes it will help spend your energy, but if u have headgehog it will decrease your resources gathered overll in sesion, because headgehog resources arent getting x10 ;(

For energy recovery I also suggest lightstone combinations. You can get an extra +2 energy recovery. The specific combo is "Refreshing Dream"

Help me please, Liana does not have a quest for the Flomaros ring for me. Only weekls/daily repeatable ones. I also have never done it

Mastery impacts the amount you gather each time. So higher mastery will give you more meat per gather.
