Just got my Brunswick and put it together. Thanks Much Grill Sergeant!!! Your videos were very helpful. My shutdown takes 10 minutes and like others, my grill had some pretty big dents, but seemed to work well during burn off.
I just put mine together yesterday and called PB to talk about the damage. Apparently it's common with this model as a walmart exclusive and none of their transport drivers cared what happened to em.
Thank you sir for making these videos on the Brunswick....I needed them. Managed to find one of these scarce animals at walmart yesterday already built but with no owners manual. Pit Boss web site isn't working to down load one so your guidance has been much needed. Followed your procedure here on the burn off, which is not what I would have done properly on my own. Now it's time to try a test smoke with some wings!
Yup got my pit boss pro series pellet an took good 1 hr to put it together it's a beast well built now doing a burn off for the next hour and tomorrow I'm going to pellet school via your channel
Bought me a Platinum one a couple years ago and love it until the igniter went out. I replaced it and had help getting it to work again. Never again am I doing a pellet smoker. I will stick with charcoal/wood only. Love the smoker, don't get me wrong, but I'm going back to keep it simple. Plus the charcoal pellets I used burn to clean.
Got mine from Walmart today they put it together really good no damage burn off tomorrow morning... Then baby back ribs.... Ash pan was very hard to get out.....
I have a KC Combo, which has the same controller, and you don't have to hold the nob down to adjust the temp. Just tap it, turn the dial to desired temp, and tap again to set it.
That smoker is a beast! 98lbs, what ya gonna cook for 5days straight wow! Looking forward to some cooks on it. Have a great week and Thanksgiving Andrew! You all stay safe!👍👊🍻
Sorry friend, I have never once had ANY social media accounts and I neve will so I won't be doing any Facebook stuff. I know there are a whole lot of people just like me believe it or not. I don't have a single app on my phone either and never will. But that being said, I sure hope you provide all of the things on UA-cam that you are planning to do in Facebook or wherever. When the whole smart phone craze began I clearly saw the BS coming and I vowed to myself that I would NEVER get addicted to my phone. Nothing at all against anyone else that is into that stuff. I find it pretty sad that most folks can't seem to wipe their ass wthout the use of a darned app anymore. FYI, I have suffered no loss whatsoever by not "playing along" with this stuff.
Why did you take the grids and what not out before you did the burn off? I don’t see anything about that in the manual? I didn’t do that with my pit boss smoker grill but I just picked up the Brunswick and I want to do it right.
It to physically see and verify that the auger is turning looking at it from the burn pot and it helps you clear out much of the small styrofoam bits as you can before starting the burn off. 🍻
Hello I have a question well first love the videos great information. If you were getting a vertical smoker today which pellet smoker would you get? I have a pitboss pro 850 and a camp chef smoke vault 24 vertical . I am selling my camp chef that is propane and looking at replacing it with a vertical pellet smoker. I have looked at Lowe’s the have the pitboss 4 pro v2, and Walmart has the Brunswick. Thanks for the info
Just my Brunswick tonight... it was already assembled at Walmart... came home sifted the pellets and attempted to burn it off.... Total Fail !! Fan is working bit not the auger any advice will be appreciated... thanks !!
Great smoker just one problem tough to get a cover. On my 3rd use started great, then the temp kept falling. Since I didn’t have the cover yet water must of seeped into the wood and became saw dust and dried like a brick so no wood was getting into the auger. Loosen back door and then drain the wood pellets vacuumed it out. Refilled hopper & tada working again
@Grill Sergeant okay, thank you for the information. Your videos are the reason why I got the Brunswick and not other brands. Also, I love the Facebook page.
It comes with two but if you are in the market for a vertical smoker Pit Boss just sent me their new Pro Series Elite and I think it can run circles around the Brunswick
Just tried to assemble my Brunswick, pulled it out of the box, the bottom was crushed and the back was dented in. Tried to get Walmart to send one to the store, assemble it, so I could make sure it was not damaged, but they wouldn't do it. This thing weighs a ton, and they leave it in your driveway for you to put where you need it to go so getting another one only to have to send it back again was not an option. Would love to have one, but the hassle just isn't worth it. And Walmart is a nightmare to work with.
So do u need to add water in the water pan during the Burn off? I ask because i believe it’s suppose to always run with water in the water pan & if not that could cause damage.
You do not need to add water for the initial burn off per the manual because you are trying to “burn off” all the shipping residue even off the water pan. Only for when you are smoking meats.
@@GrillSergeant thanx a lot I TRULY APPRECIATE it and APPRECIATE all the vids you do. Can't wait to get my hands on a Brunswick ! Hey Grill Sergeant what's your fav piece of Pit Boss equipment ?

About 30 min into burn off temp dropped from 400 to 350 pretty quickly. Auger keeps going but igniter light stopped turning on. Not sure if it’s supposed to keep turning on or not. Thoughts?
I’m looking to upgrade to a pellet smoker. Don’t wanna spend a ton of money. Vertical smoker, which pit boss smoker is best bang for my buck? Don’t want something to small
Grill sergeant my ash try clean out tray is stuck? How do I get it open? I heard the metal is right under the igniter and it worps any suggestion to get it open?
Just got this smoker. Not sure I’m priming right. How long to heat up? I’m holding the primer button but not really hearing anything. The auger light will light up and then go dark back and forth in a cycle while I hold the button. Thanks.
Is the fan supposed to power down after the initial start up and power off? I've held my power button down, but my fan continues to run for like 10 mins after and the red fan light is on.
I just got this smoker I started the burn off process and I started getting heavy smoke from the bottom of the unit I called pit boss they said to empty the hopper and try it again same issue any idea what might b happening really like this smoker don't want to return it but don't need my days off smoking to become headaches ..any advice would be appreciated, keep up the awesome content
I found that you will see heavy smoke at the bottom till the plate on the ash clean out seals to the bottom of the burn pot when it gets hot then the smoke will stop coming out the bottom.

Cover? I’m new to this. What are you referring to?
I heard that the NEW Brunswick uses Magnets on the doors instead of the rods like yours has..... Your thoughts and what have you heard ?
Mine has both. The right handle works the rod...
If I already filled it with pellets before the initial power-up do I need to remove them or will it be okay?
Did you put water in the burn off? And pellet auger make alot noise?
No water for the burn off and the auger / fan system make noise when in use. Once it comes up to temp it should be kinda quiet.

How's the Brunswick do with GFCI or AFCI outlets? I have a PB Series 5 vertical and it would constantly trip the GFCI breaker.

It takes about 10 mins for pellets to go through the auger. You can press the auger button while the smoker is on to help the auger spin faster.
trying to buy one for some time sold out everyplace
