  • Queensland Premier David Crisafulli has urged residents to exercise extreme caution when travelling on roads affected by the recent flooding in North Queensland.
With many roads still underwater or impassable, the Queensland Premier emphasised that the roads are primarily for essential service providers and urged people to avoid unnecessary travel.
“There are a number of roads that remain out of action, and there’s a number of roads that remain covered by water. Unless you absolutely have to be, I would really, really give the message not to be on the roads,” Mr Crisafulli said.
“Now, of course, if you’re in an area and you can safely get to and from work, absolutely. But if you’re in those key areas where flooding continues, please, please be careful.”

Just relying on SES volunteers is inadequate the army must be called in.
