MOST jobs have a 10 minutes grace period. My job, for example, you can leave 9 minutes before your allotted clock out time.

My father was a custodian at an elementary school for many years. When my father, suddenly passed away, the school held a ceremony for him. The whole school celebrated him and even flew a flag in his honor. That is how you treat people who work for you.
That is an amazing story. People should treat each other like that every where.
The principal one really ticked me off. My husband was a custodian for a couple years and he was at a school where he was treated like this all the time, especially by the principal. The teachers were no better, and held him up from cleaning their rooms but complained that they weren't cleaned to their satisfaction when they hindered him from doing his job. Custodians were treated like dirt there. The non-educational staff was supposed to get a bonus along with the teachers for reaching academic goals (with the idea that the school as a whole functioned together as a team to reach these goals) and the teachers immediately (and successfully) argued against support staff getting a cut. I think it worked out to less than $20 from each teacher's bonus. They celebrated their win while the staff went to clean their rooms.
That's terrible to hear. Back when I was in high school (graduated in '03) it was a small private school, there were two custodial guys, and we knew them by name. They were really cool dudes, too. We were always mutually friendly to them and tried to clean up after ourselves as best we could because we knew they weren't our maids. It's unfortunate how rare that is. 😕
I feel like the custodians shouldn't work for the principal of the school. I don't think principals should be in charge of their work. Maybe a different boss or even better their own union.

If he does have a different boss like they were saying it is still so out of line to do this herself. If she honestly thinks he did something wrong she should go to his boss instead of pulling this cringe power trip.

The principal must’ve had to do something her ass didn’t want to do because he was gone for the day. That’s the only time people like her get mad is when they have to do something they feel is above their pay grade!
She was looking for a reason to fire him. Needed him at 2:45pm the day before? I bet if she had a legit emergency to fix/clean something up, she'd expect him to stay past 3pm...But an emergency need, just before 3pm, then firing him for being gone a few minutes early the next day? Stinks to high heaven.
The male employee will, I am very sure, find a better job than working under that POS principal. Over the years I have supervised many (office) staff. I liked the guy's work attitude. 15 minute variation to the day's start/end hours? Why do I smell a pail of racist 🤡💩?

Wow,If there ever was a perfect example of a Karen,it would be that vice principal,from her attitude,right down to her hairstyle.😂I really hope that man got himself a lawyer and sued the school board for discrimination,cause that lady was very rude and disrespectful for no reason and just from that interaction I could tell she had some sort of personal problem with that man,and something tells me that she has treated other people the same way and has been reported for her attitude in the past.
That principal was awful. I used to manage cashiers and would sometimes have a similar issue (cashiers starting early, then leaving early w/o asking anybody and messing the schedule up). Many times all I had to do was explain the schedule difficulties it caused and they stopped doing it.
This man doesn't have an attitude. He's being respectful and explaining himself. He seems open to hearing her perspective if she would talk to him like a human being. She could be kind and professional and probably resolve the issue amicably. The way she talked to him was absolutely disgusting.
That boss is the worst kind. Just powertripping. And because he clearly wants his job he's in a vulnerable position. I've had plenty of bosses like that and been in his shoes. But knowing what I know now as soon as she said "HR" I would be saying "then good day". Because they're probably familiar with this petty shit from her. And he has the video of her being completely unempathetic and unappreciative of him. Because had she done HER job as a boss she would have expected the fire Marshall for a scheduled inspection and been there to let him in. And I would like to think that a Fire Marshall arriving at your door should absolutely overrule your bitch boss. Hope she got reprimanded.

Shameful the way that principal handled that issue. Maybe in the state that school is in, there is no union for the poor janitor to represent him. Her lack of professionalism as the administrator of that school is shocking. Talking down to a staff member in the manner she exhibited is just being a bully.

Uber Eats guy is being a jerk. The fast food joint is obviously understaffed and probably has a policy where the lobby closes an hour before the drive thru.

That principal at 16:45 reminded me a little of the bar manager I cleaned for, except my employer got on me for changing my schedule without letting her know, despite my contract stating that I may come in at any time I'd like, as long as I get the job done before the bartenders show up for work. My father wanted me to be available in the mornings so I could help him do electrical work (I had 2 jobs) yet the bar manager felt the need to lecture me afterwards. Now that I saw all of these Karen videos do I realize that she herself was one.
1. She demanded for me and my father to install her new security system that utilizes 24 cameras (we weren't paid to do that).
2. She complained that those cameras weren't equipped with microphones (she wanted to spy on customers and bartenders).
3. She was extremely paranoid (anytime robbers or criminals were mentioned on the news, she thought they'd come over and hide at the AMERICAN LEGION).
4. She screamed like a banshee at me for pointing out that the bartenders felt intimidated by her (she was verbally abusive and made many accusations).
5. She spent over 3 hours a day reviewing the security cam footage because she trusted no one, including me, her husband, the bartenders, patrons, even her own employers.
6. She was a total liar (even though I always asked if I could improve myself, she'd say I was doing everything correctly, yet saw her cussing me out on the dry erase board in her office).
7. She called the police to ask them for a ride home, insisting that the police offers cab/taxi services to citizens; I kid you not.
