@@studioannur221 They were indeed, and slightly slowed down changing the pitch down to the key of B. I read somewhere that Marc already had this song in a shoebox under his bed for a few years before he got it out and worked a little more on it.
This song and album cover epitomizes the retro 70's nostalgia that was popular from the Mid 90's - Mid 00's. (Example: i.pinimg.com/originals/22/e4/a1/22e4a1437bc470df5d3fb3fc249bb757.jpg ) History always repeats itself.
i want to personally thank you for uploading this. i've beeing scouring the net for an official instrumental off and on for the longest. this is the jiggiest beat ever.
I do I've been looking for this song to that bumper since I was a kid watching jet jackson I finally found it on a Hampton by Hilton commercial finally after all these years...feels good man
I'm saving it for the next time it's exactly 36°C in UK since that's the perfect 10/10 heat. If higher I'll use more of a fire song instead (like when it was 37°C I used "Fire In Cairo" and the second highest I've been in UK was 34°C (for that I used Sun by Caribou)).
I remember this song from when I was little, and I was always curious about and mesmerized by that echoing instrument; I could never really put my finger on what it was called...
I just read that Andrea True recorded "More, More, More" in Jamaica so your interesting info about claves makes sense. Thanks. I really like them and remember True's song from 1976.
It's more like a temple block, wood block, or Chinese Wood block which are more round shaped. Probably struck with some soft rubber mallets and done in the echo chamber with added reverb.
Better times then.....fuck Facebook, Twitter, terrorists and politics.......it was just beer, music, girls and reefers. In my 20's then and glad I lived through it all.......today's lot are missing out on a lot of fun!
Fun fact: This beat comes entirely from a bar in the song "more more more" by Andrea true connection, a famous 70s cornstar. Source: some guy in the comments section of one of her videos.
I'm gonna be more normal now. Maybe Shayla could even be my girlfriend. I'll go see those stupid Marvel movies with her. I'll join a gym. I'll heart things on Instagram. I'll drink vanilla lattes. I'm gonna lead a bug-free life from now on. Anything to protect my perfect maze.
This song has such a chill and vibrant vibe. So beautiful ❤️
The sound of 1999. Those days were some good times. Loved this song, so darn catchy.
Not to mention the sound of mid-70s progressive rock. The chords were borrowed from Andrea True Connection's More, More, More.

Agreed.

It almost sounds like an early drum machine sound. I recreated the sound with Logic’s CR78 and it's pretty much identical

I remember a Disney channel bumper from 2002-2005 era that had this instrumental on. Does anyone else remember that?

i love this song and it's cool beat
Such a great few synth patches on this track. Pretty sure the bass is synth only, no bass guitar at all.
It’s like a fresh can of Pringles opened every time.

Anyone else hear that weird minor chord hint of synth at the end of each measure? I think it subtlety brings a lot to the mix.

Are these guys still together or just lost to history by their music in the 90s?
They're inactive. The last album was 2011 and Marc has gone on to writing and producing.
