Best game of the tournament so far. What a battle by both teams. No one was expecting Ryan Kalkbrenner to shoot that 3 at the 15:58 mark in the video. The entire defense left him open like: "He doesn't have the guts to shoot that". He drained it with ease in OT. 🤣🤣
that colorado florida game was good also
If you were pulling for Creighton it was. Oregon must be kicking themselves for letting that freshman throw the ball in to the big guy, up 2 with 27 seconds to go and you have the ball. You never throw it into a a big guy that can't shoot free-throws, but he did. Ha
I had to replay it like 10 times
I went to high school with him and dude used to shoot like 7 threes a game
He’s a shooter
Greg McDermott's lean back at 16:00 kills me. Probably wasn't the ideal shot, but he'll live with it lol
Shoutout to Cousinard man

One thing about a team like Creighton.....their players tend to stay for four years. They are veterans. Veterans can often times beat One-and-done players.
I'm a "Pac12" guy but hats off to Creighton, they were a little bit more scrappier when it counted.
Pac12 is done. Bunch of weak Woke schools. Nobody respects Woke schools
Nah, their SG kept them in it with all of those threes and then a bad mistake by the ducks at the end of the game inbounding they ball to Dante.
@@JaneDoey Truth. I just think Creighton also outscrapped them. Oregon's the better team, just not yesterday.

With state and Oakland a close second
Cousnaed and dante were playing like shaq and kobe out there
Nah oakland beating kentucky was better
Agreed🎉
A good game, but the Colo. 102-100 upset of Fla. has been the best of the tourney
steven ashworth cold blooded assassin hit big shots
He’s had such an up and down year in terms of consistency and definitely not nearly as successful as last year but it was cool to see him save the day a few times in this game. He seemed like the only one on the team willing to let it fly at times when everyone else just wanted to pass it around. He definitely was the mvp of the game.
Oregon really almost won a 2v5
Scoring 2 points in double ot is wild
I love all the underdogs
Andrew Catalon has become the best big time call guy. Couisnard with STONES in Pittsburgh!
Nice to see Creighton having success in March these last few years. They had always been known as a program that had good regular seasons but never went anywhere in the tournament. And making the Sweet 16 in the COVID season was kind of blah had it been their only time. Good for them.
What was Oregon even doing on the inbound? The kid is frantically looking for someome to pass to and the guards are just staring at him? Cost em the game.
I know Uconn is worried about Creighton. That's one of the few teams left of the tournament that I know can beat Uconn
They wouldn’t play them until the championship game though
Nope lol
Creighton only beat UConn at home
@@TributeToTroyand UConn only beat Creighton at home… your point?
@@bamboozeled1227UConn is the better team
I remember my coach saying when you’re under the basket DO NOT DRIBBLE!!! Go straight up! You dribble you lose the ball!
0:22. If you so badly don't want Dante to receive the inbound pass ... why is he on the floor? There'll be plenty of time to sub him back into the game when whoever gets fouled is shooting his free throws. That's just awful coaching.
And then he is all smiles after it as to say “guys! You know better! Aw shucks guys”
How about you call an F’n timeout, both on the inbounds and the last possession of reg where your guard is handling bringing up the ball like it’s an and1 mixtape exhibition, could barely be bothered to avoid a 10 second violation
Good teams win, great teams cover
I remember seeing that 71 just NOT CHANGING in the second overtime. They weren’t running. They were walking upcourt. They had a chance!
Oregon stinks. Creighton had an off night looking ahead. Stop lying to yourself
They were doing that all game. Oregon almost won while playing 2 vs 5 on offense. Only 2 guys scored like all there points. Just look at the box score stats

when i saw in the second half only two guys scoring for oregon i knew it was over if it went to OT
Heck of a game. But when it goes to double OT the obly thing that matters is will power at that point. Who wants it more... Who got the extra little bit left in the tank to finish the job and get the win. The jays just had that little bit more to win. Gg Jays they took the Ducka best punch and kept going
Oregon is too Woke to win.
This is Madness!!!!
THIS! IS! MAAAAARRRRRCH! *kick* 🤠💯🤓
I had Oregon +10 as last leg of nice parlay, salty lol
Great game but Schiereman costed me my parlay. 18 for 19 points 😢
Do you get street cred for handling the ball nonchalantly when it is incredibly important to not do so? Is this the new step over someone on the ground
With this game the term thriller isn't exactly relevant if you look at the end score. To end up losing by double digits definitely takes away from the whole thriller option. Yes 2 OT's is thrilling but the end result, for me, is disappointing in the sense that regulation and first OT weren't.
The point guard shooting all the shots never ends good but you’ll get great highlights
Ducks needed more balanced scoring.
I've never seen a game so extreme as this, where just two guys were scoring.
It was a good game. Reminds me of K-State vs Xavier double overtimes in 2010.
I’m a Xavier fan but I watch the highlights of that game once a year. So dramatic and such good calls from Gus johnson on the mic
“Crawfords gotta hurry..”
@@ryanhanrahan4957 I'm a K-State fan but I have the highest respect for Xavier. And you're right, no one can report games like him.

Cousinard and Dante were Oregons whole team.
Shaq and kobe lol
How tf do you miss that travel at 0:57 ?!?
15:09 & 15:19 skip catch and changing pivot feet.
The NBA entertainment palming/traveling is leaking to the college level. It is no longer a sport but, just entertainment with “guidelines” instead of rules.
@@AnthonyBennettKYand the refs call way too many fouls when the players are barely even touching each other, it slows the game down and makes the product feel really cheap. And there’s plenty of straight up horrible calls every game that absolutely alter the outcome of a close game, but they want you to accept it and move on and almost turn a blind eye. The refs have way too much power over these games for being so incompetent almost every foul call is subjective
Oregon just ran out of gas when it came to second OT Creighton has a lot to clean up for Tennessee but Tennessee is very beatable
Tennessee is garbage. have you watched the SEC?
Of course you would say that
Not easily beatable at all
So easy to beat then maybe Mizzou should've done it.
Hey Miz, when do y’all play again?
those Dante free throws are gonna haunt me
Creighton players showed poise, confidence, and execute with ball movements and most importantly, made all critical and right-decision shots. Oregon players were all standing around waiting for their star marque player - Cousinard to make play that resulted in hero-ball style one man show the rest of the way. Unfortunately, Cousinard is NOT a superstar. Well-deserved W by Creighton.
Midwest Region 2nd Round #3 seed Creighton advances beating #11 seed Oregon in Double Overtime.
Blue jays pull away outscoring Ducks 15-02 in Double Overtime. They face Tennessee Vols in 3rd Round Sweet {16}
Cousinard played hero ball while Creighton shared the ball
His squad wasn’t doing much helping scoring wise
Scoring no points in 2nd overtime is wild
They scored 2
If you watched the game you could tell oregon was getting very tired
@AnthonyW89 You wonder, did Altman say, "Look, i just want two guys taking shots..." or has he gotten lazy in his coaching and neglected telling his players TO PASS THE BALL. ??????
So proud of this team, I don’t have a favorite player like them all. If we had nemhard and kaluma. Dang 😮But coach Mac is awesome 👏. Let get after Tennessee, read the stats against Texas there not a great 3 point team. Suffocate them with 3’s. The radio 📻 announcer guy screams Jays win X3 so to save my voice 😂Go jays let’s get to the final four
Why would they put the spoiler in the description? 🙈
Ashworth looks 47 years old
and he still will have 1 more year of eligibility after this season. most likely coming back 1 more year lol. he's 24 but love that dude, he plays with so much energy and passion
Horrible coaching from Oregon. Talk about a confidence killer. No way that kid is hitting that free throw after that reaction. Coach needs to hide the truth here, clap his hands as if this was a great choice, and make that kid believe he is going to make the shots.
That was the turning point in the game
The next round is going to be really interesting. I think maybe very similar to the way this game played out too. It may well end up being Creighton vs Dalton Knecht. Creighton are a danger to all. A UConn Creighton championship game would be insane
When Oregon starting holding the ball at top of key they lost the game at that point
Yep.
When they went Woke…that’s when they lost

Oregon was so tired by that second OT. Their body language gave it away bad
Altman should design some plays that involve more than two players. That would help preserve some energy.
Poor Ducks had nothing left in the tank.
This announcer makes this tough.
Also, is anybody checking the coaches for being very much on the floor?
What is happening?
As long as Oregon loses.

Embarrassing choke job. losing by 13 in OT is pitiful

what is the no 5 for oregon doing, hes sleeping on defence.
#5 playing his own game 😂😂
I am a semi chreighton fan but I hate it that Oregon couldn't advance
I had Oregon plus 8.5…
Yessir
Oregon played ZERO defense in the 2nd OT
They were gassed. They relied on 2 guys to score EVERY SINGLE POINT in the 2nd half. That's unheard of. By the time the 2nd OT rolled on they had nothing left in the tank. Creighton's players had incredible stamina. 3 of their guys played 49-50 minutes and they weren't gassed. Couisnard only played 29 minutes and he had no energy left in the 2OT. No power in his legs on his shots.

I had a lot of money on Creighton so I’m not complaining when I say this. It seems like such a simple routine play when it happens but actually getting the ball into the hands of a great foul shooter at the end of regulation was the difference between winning and losing in this game. Terrible mistake to not take the timeout and reset the inbounds play. When they threw it to Dante and he got fouled I knew they were in trouble and so did Dana Altman. Why would the inbounder think it’s okay to throw the ball to him in that situation? It’s the little things I guess.
He had to get it in, the guards didn’t move. Altman should’ve called a timeout when they can’t get it in to a decent shooter. And should’ve called a timeout on the last possession in reg
Sheeesh them boys was playing tonight this game definitely under rated and under appreciated thus far. Oregon salute to you my goodness played over 50 minutes two men third man out and the last two barely scored crazy. Please do not let this be a loss let it be lesson for real god bless y’all tonight. Volts about to smack creighton watch
The refs definitely had money on this one sided game…
Agreed. Dante got away with a ton of fouls battling for rebounds.

Well, at least Oregon has a winning team in the only NCAA sport that matters.
when oregon slows their offense, they can't make it everytime
Is it my imagination or are these kids being too nonchalant toward the end of regulation or overtime? Seems like they all watch NBA games and emulate how Steph goes one in one and just chucks a three.
Except the end of the reg was a drive🤦♂️
conspiracy rotted your brain
Agreed. It's honestly why I don't watch much basketball anymore. It's not a team game anymore. It could be tied with 10 seconds left, and the guard will dribble at half court for 9 seconds and then launch up a 3 from six feet behind the arch at the buzzer. That's not basketball. That's selfish garbage.
Agreed...
@@joeyb.7484 they taught that since they are running the clock if its tied just in case of a turnover, and since defense on their toes and most likely will try to look for a backdoor and give space for a shot. Granted they should run a set play off a timeout or smth still
Imagine if the freshman inbounds the ball to the right person at the end of regulation…..
He passed it to the only guy that's open
CRY OREGON FANS CRY😢😢😢😂😂😂
Then the kid was WAY TO SLOW going to the basket at the end of regulation with the game tied. He should have been going as fast as he could when he got that ball.
Absolute beast of a player but he handled the ball way too relaxed all game
Idk how the coach doesn’t drill that into him after the 5th time almost getting a 10 second call bringing the ball up like it’s B league intramural

Better team won. #5 for Oregon just quit playing D when they lost the lead in 2OT and tried to do it all on his own on the other end.
From 71-71 to 71-81 he literally never passed the ball one time and took every single shot early in the possession… most of the forced.
The difference in that game was the inbound play where they should have gotten the ball to anyone other than Dante. Mistake of the game for the ducks
81 to 71? That’s not going anywhere.
that's a travel 15:20
Jesus definitely love Creighton . I think that the blue jays are going to win it all .

Oregon looked like old indecisive men in ot...they had no energy. Got sloppy with the ball turnovers
dante is a dbag. so glad he lost. I always root for the underdog, and as the game went on, I couldn’t wait for Oregon to lose.
OT needs to be shortened to 1 or 2 minutes...nothing worse than 5 minutes being enough time to allow a seemingly thrilling ending to segue into an anticlimax.
5 minute first overtime and 3 minute 2nd ot
Nah, if you can’t finish that’s a conditioning issue. Oregon choked and it went to OT. Hands on knees starting second half. Respect for the 2v5 but they got exposed hard second OT. RDJ.
It’s not a bad thing that climactic endings are fairly rare. That’s what makes them exciting.
If you're going to play a 1 or 2 minute OT, you may as well just toss a coin to decide the winner.
@@alant.3924Oregon just gave up on the hustle in the second overtime. Painful to watch after the first game!
Oregon was instrumental to the demise and dismantling of the “Conference of Campions” PAC 12. They got what they deserve. Send them packing and next year don’t expect to see them in any football or basketball playoffs.

Just bad coaching by dana altman no disrespect but you cannot let your team inbound the ball too your worst free throw shooter just bad game management
Looks like even he knew they had fuked up after that decision. Bad coaching or did they just ignore his call?
There was nobody to passed to. He ran up as a safety to avoid the five second call
@kdog2646 brother that's what timeouts are for and if they didn't have one that's what coaching is for too be prepared for every situation, end of game situations are rehearsed at nausim the coach even said I'm mad at myself and if I was a betting man I'm sure that's the play he wants back
It's called good defense not bad coaching. They were about to get a 5 second call
