🌷🌻🌷Tommy Castro has been my favorite rhythm and blues man since 1998. Never disappoints and his shows are parties with the best band ever! His volume of original songs is massive and excellent. He kills every cover he does too. The hardest working Man and Band in the business. Don’t miss him if you get a chance to see him. I’m lucky to live in the Bay Area so see him several times a year. Next bad ass show is an afternoon show on the lawn, on Sunday 8/28/22 at the beautiful Rancho Nicasio in Northern California 💘 I guarantee you’ll love him too!
I saw him in Aug 2000 at Shoreline Amphitheatre at the BB King festival. He was bad ass. Susan Tedeschi was there too along with Buddy Guy. Hell of a show.
Blues artist of the year 2022. Blues album of the year. Tommy Castro was the evening’s top award winner, earning three BMAs, first for the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year (which he won previously in 2010 and 2008) and for Album of the Year for Tommy Castro Presents A Bluesman Came to Town, and lastly for taking home the honors for Band of the Year with his band, Tommy Castro & The Painkillers
I love Tommy's Band, and first saw them 20 years ago in Manchester Vermont for a blues show at Riley Rink. Also saw BB King and Buddy Guy at that venue. How lucky was that to see such great musicians in one little place?
Great job by everybody .I didn't run across You and the band until about 3 months ago but I really like everything I've heard .keep the Great music coming .
Tommy , loved the Raleigh show at Lincoln Theatre the other night , at top of my all time favorite shows and will brag about it for many years ! This show is like being there again , AWESOME !!!!
This is, in my opinion, the best video of Tommy and the guys. It's the best lineup. James Pace is a monster. He brings another dimension to Tommy's songs that no other keys guy I've seen has done.
This band is AWESOME! Just found out about them and will be going to see them for first time 3/29 at Norfolk CT Infinity. I'll be "that guy" dancing solo by the sound board & bar!!!!
Thanks so much for posting this. I only discovered Tommy Castro & The Painkillers a few days ago, and I love them. Their songs - especially 'Common Ground' - are full of great melodies and hopeful, positive and well-written lyrics. I also love Tommy's blues guitar playing.
Many many years ago, saw you at the 4th st tavern in San Rafael, CA From that day on, saw you on whenever I could. Mystic theater, Petaluma, rancho niccasio. All those fun times. Randy and Keith too. You'll remember my face I know. It's Jenny. We're the same age. I told you when we were old, Id marry you! Haha, no, now that masks are going away, I'll be looking fwd to getting back to blues. Good after covid album name... Ya think?
jazzy2blue I think that was about the same time I saw him in Detriot. I bought his C.D. (Still have it) Got his autograph on it. Glad I did. He was great to watch.
+wade furey , second that ! Tommy is right there with SRV , Tab and many other of my blues favorites ! Tommy loves his audience , his talent and reminds me of what i saw in Albert Collins and Bryan Lee !
Did i compare of of them to each other , I don't think so ! Read next time before you post your negative crap ! I said favorite list with him and others .
You're probably the kind of self absorbed douche that dances in front of people so they can't see the band. We know you're not too bright since you think Montreux is in France.
l used to come see you @ Lou's Pier 47, Still play the CD. from. then. Like to listen to. it when running errands on 24th St, SF. So loud nobody bothers me, but I am sure the shop keepers aren't happy.... CAN'T. KEEP A GOOD MAN DOWN. ( my fav ) No more Sax player??

This guy is the most underrated blues musician performing today. One day he will be recognized for his brand of blues. Love the funk influence!
Yeah they usually want to recognize us after we're dead and gone it's so stupid
