- This light painting VLOG is part one from the Light Painting World Alliance Mid Atlantic Meet UP hosted by Jason Rinehart and Sponsored by Light Painting Brushes.
Disclaimer: I was very excited to go to this meet up so I was amazed by pretty much everything.
In this episode I arrive in Virginia a few days early to meet up with Johnny Griffin, Bobby Hopp, and Jason Rinehart to get everything set up for the Meet Up with 30 light painting artist from around the globe. Johnny Griffin shows me a ton of really awesome custom light painting tools that he has created we check out the waterfall at the end of Jason Rinehart's road and then we head off to an abandoned warehouse just 5 minutes from Jason's house to light paint!

I really like this concept of creating designs like this on the plexi glass...so many possibilities! Was it sand blasted?
Its actually etched with an engraver. Johnny Griffin made it, I am sure he would be more than happy to let you know more about it, hit him up on FB.

This was just something we made for him as a joke. Not something that Light Painting Brushes sells.

Thats really awesome! how did you get that green laser light effect at the end of the video? I make light paintings as well.
Its a Christmas laser with the red laser part covered with a piece of gaffers tape, the effect comes from the smoke bombs that we set off prior to the shot, the smoke picks up the laser beams!

Are those handmade Plexiglas tools? If so, how do make them and where do you get the bottom connectors?
The plexiglass are from lightpaintingbrushes.com they connect to a light source using the Universal Connector from Light Painting Brushes. The face is just a funny one we made for the meet up. :)
