  • Light Painting VLOG 21 filmed in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Summer 2018 Road Trip, The Camera Doesn't Matter.
    The light painting part is at the END of this video
    In this episode of the Light Painting VLOG I travel with my aunt and uncle to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. First we stop to see the bears at Cade's Cove then we hike up to Leconte Lodge where I create some light paintings on some of the many beautiful trails surrounding the lodge. To keep my pack light I left behind my main camera and only brought along my Canon G7X to film the VLOG and shoot all my light paintings. All of the images and video you see in this episode were captured on the Canon G7X.

    How it captures the light without expose the person behind it?

    • @LightPaintingPhotography
      @LightPaintingPhotography  5 років тому

      The camera will only record what you allow it to see, because there is minimal light shining onto the person the camera cannot "see" the person to record them. This is a combination of factors, some tips to not allow the camera to see you in the dark is to wear dark clothing, don't shine light onto yourself, and don't stand in any one place too long. There is also a technique of erasing yourself from an image using light that we will be covering in a future tutorial. Make sure to subscribe :)

    what's the longest exposure possible with that camera or how long did you use?

    • @LightPaintingPhotography
      @LightPaintingPhotography  5 років тому

      The camera can expose as long as you allow it too, however the image will get very noisy at long exposure times. These exposures are around 1-2 minutes. I generally don't push an exposure past 10 minutes.

      @@LightPaintingPhotography depends on the camera though? Mine can only expose for Max 30 seconds?

    • @LightPaintingPhotography
      @LightPaintingPhotography  5 років тому

      Yes unfortunately you are limited to the exposure capabilities of your particular camera, however there is a lot that can be created in 30 seconds. @@xDisgreat
