- During Muriel Andersen's All Star Guitar Night held at the WIld Horse Saloon in Nashville during NAMM week in Nashville, Tommy Emmanuel introduced a then 15 year old guitar sensation from England named Zoe McCulloch. She brought the house down.

I have gone back to my routes with my new band The Crickettes but I will never forget playing The Savage with Tommy in Nashville we had a great time. Back stage I also became good friends with Nokie Edwards and Seymour Duncan that night. Zoe

I'm usually fussy when it comes to covers, but Zoe did a great job of this shadows classic.
That guy playing the rhythm guitar is none other than Tommy Emmanuel from Australia. She's lucky to be playing next to him. He's considered one of the top guitarists in the world.

Hi Zoe! I was hunting about looking for a backing track to Moonlight Shadow,when I came across your full version.I have been a shadow's for more years than I care to remember,but I think your version was probably one of the best.Why aren't we hearing more about you in the U.K.?

Authentic Hank lead sound. There was no race. This instrumental by Norrie Paramor was played FAST. If you could play The Savage on rhythm guitar like this, it would get you into any aspiring rock band of the day. That's fifty years ago. Viva Shads!

Like Hank ,she's from Newcastle - I used to get the UB Hank Club magazine an saw reports of Zoe in "Shadsfest" competition. Does this make her a genuine "Daughter of The Shadows" - in a musical sense?

She's good as Hank Marvin, if not better, and if anyone disagrees they don't have a good ear for music, she's heading greatness and recognized by great guitarists.
I'd say that in her own way she has the same potential in music, but I don't think anyone can better Hank in his field. There are individual elements that each musician brings to the table, but there are just some people like Hank that are one of the all-time greats

She’s doing a great job with keeping up with master guitarplayer Tommy’s much too high speed. Doesn’t give her time to put feeling into it, but my oh my, she mails it. His playing though is fantastic. Great tune! 👍

He was merely accompanying Zoe during this.
He is tremendous talent & a great entertainer too.
Enjoyed his shows in Perth & in California,
always impresses. I suppose it depends on
the style of preference for Zoe, I got a surf guitar
vibe during this, although Tommy has many
surprising variations of style & technique.
I guess the next thing to do would be getting your
friends to put something on UA-cam, eh?

I'm trying to imagine having Tommy Emmanuel as a rhythm guitarst. A tad intimidating I'd say! Well done Zoe.
When he was playing alongside his (now late) brother Phil, he played rhythm and the Shadows were a key part of their act. Being 60's born, I missed the bulk of the Shadow's classic period and catching Phil & Tommy playing live in pubs was my real intro to that music.
