As an old devotee of Hollywood musicals, I started watching Bollywood numbers when UA-cam arrived on the scene. It took me a year to realize that it was the same singer in most of the big numbers, as it is here. Even more astonishing is that most of her best songs are not Bollywood numbers, but her work for the other regional cinemas. All too frequently, Shreya Ghoshal will do something truly astonishing vocally, something that no other singer can do. English is one of a dozen languages she sings in. I can only hope that she takes up residence in the US for a time beyond the standard tour dates that she does. The problem is, we may not have enough composers worthy of her talent for her to make that commitment. There are a lot of amazing musicians over there…

Wow! I've gotta appreciate the writing of this script. Very well researched and well put. From learning about the dance forms to translating "kala chasma", it was a beautiful script. Of course, I've always thought that everything was well put, nicely organized, and witty, but I've never sat down to think about the script itself. Maybe I hadn't noticed it before because I was too focused on the content, i.e., the lists, but here I was worried if it was gonna be another video where the script only says how good the Indian culture is without providing any kind of depth to the argument. This video makes me appreciate your channel more. Keep up the good work!

Love this list , but its quite surprising they mentioned Pinga while ignoring iconic Dola re dola. Dola re dola is the OG and pathbreaking when two biggest starlets danced together. Pinga is more like lite version of Dola tbh. Also fevicol had no business in top10 lol Can't wait for part 2 tho!! 🥹

Wish there was at least one song where Madhuri was the main event but I respect the list!! Really impressed with this video 💕
I agree! Nobody could dance like the great Madhuri Dixit!
you nailed this! Katrina lights up the screen in every dance she does, and you had my favorite three in your list
Jai jai shiv shankar, naacho naacho, malhari deserves to be in the list
I know this is not a Bollywood song but pranavalaya from shyam singha roy also was an amazing song! Sai Pallavi's performace is worth watching!
Deepika's *Deewani Mastani* has to be of the best three performances of her Ever.
And UNMISSABLE.
*Deewani Mastani, Nagada Sang* Dhol and *Lahu Munh Lag Gaya* has to be her Top 3.
Please more bollywood content. I love this
My fave song is Maar Dala. I love Bollywood. My friend in high school introduced me to them
Yes, that is a superb song and the dance with it by Madhuri Dixit is like no other. One of my favourites too! So glad you enjoy the movies!
I am surprised kaamli didn't make the list. Also Hrithik roshan the dance god of bollywood was not even mentioned.
Is it just me, or was it weird that the list didn’t have anything by Hrithik and Shahid?? Great list though 👍 Waiting for Part 2 already.
Wow the customs/dresses are so freaking amazing! Love!
I'm kind of sad that Malhaari or Khalibali didn't make it to the list though... Ranveer Singh is such an excellent dancer.. Hope this video gets a part two though!!
Thanks for this video. Our Bollywood is full or versatility. Please do make a part 2 of this video and next time add 20 songs. We love our songs.
OK I am pleasently surprised that MsMojo is showcasing Bollywood to their viewers. Hats off! And nice job with the pronunciations too.
Also another song you folks might want to check out is First Class from the movie Kalank
I've never seen a Bollywood movie before but these look fantastic, I love a good dance number!
Watch Bajirao Mastani or Devdas
Shreya Ghoshal's versatility can be heard in this video 💝💖
Keep up the good work!
songs that needed to be here:
"Aga Bai" - Aiyaa (probably the best)
"Malhaari"- Bajirao Mastani
"Jai jai shiv Shankar" -War
"Pashmina"- Fitoor
"Tattad tattad"- RamLeela
"Thug Le"- Ladies vs Ricky Behl
"Dreamum Wakepum"- Aiyaa
"Bang Bang"- Bang Bang
"Senorita"- ZNMD
"Behke Behke" -Aisha
& many more
I always love dance sequence in bollywood movies. The dancers always look effortless and they have the best energy. And also their steps always look as light as feather. How do they do that?
The fact that singers of Bollywood gets less credit than the actors who are dancing is so sad 💀
the fact that dancers in Bollywood gets more credit than 'actors' is sadder
I was shocked to learn that the actors usually don't sing the songs and that the singers don't receive enough credit.
@@kimberlychako7269 what u mean ??
That isn’t true at all.. the singers are stars in their own right.
Dola re dola is not from last decade so they did no mistake there
@@swetamohapatra3931 oooh yea i didn't see it's only from last decade
From 🇿🇲, I love the Bollywood dance numbers ❤❤🕺🕺
This NEEDS a part 2. ASAP. 🥰🥰🥰
Let us not forget the hardworking backup dancers, musicians, set designers , carpenters, camera, sound & the parents who raised them to a spire to their movie making dreams. Thank u I, India for your wonderful cinema!!!❤
The Bodyguard and Dhoom soundtracks are one of the best..
Katrina kaif is sizzling dancer and my favourite Bollywood actress of all time ❤🤗😍
Let’s give it up for the queen Shreya Ghoshal who sang a lot of these songs. Her voice really makes it perfect. Great job on the video guys! So cool to see Bollywood featured.
She will never get the hype she deserves, people only care about arijit and neha
13:02 I know the song is a party favourite but it’s blown up as a TikTok/Reels thing. I saw Jamie Lee Curtis reposting one of these on Instagram. It’s interesting to see it resurfacing.
