Wow. The final cut, that I have seen at least 50 times over the years, including around 10 times when it originally played in the theaters, was peak perfection.
Thank goodness these scenes were left on the cutting room floor. Some of them are interesting but, would have seriously detracted from the movie had they been left in.

I agree , Taylor shooting Barnes was the logical ending ,for Barnes shooting Elias. Eye for an eye !
