Baal is the most sophisticated and complex character driven of all the Gould. He isn't just a 2D cardboard cutout baddie. Love that Sam put him in his place.
As amusing as this scene is (and as hot as Carter is) this scene makes no sense. Baal is a Goa’uld and thus supposed to be many times stronger than any human or even Jaffa. Could you imagine any of the team, even Teal’c, being able to knock Apophis, Ra or Heru’ur down like that? Not at all- because they couldn’t. They really shouldn’t have nerfed the Goa’uld so much in the later seasons.
The writers seemed to forget that. Look at every time a Tok’ra was in a fight. They should be kicking ass, not getting their asses kicked. In Ba’al’s case… I don’t know. Maybe he actually enjoyed it. He seems like pleased after.
