The one inch punch was made famous by Bruce Lee. It's a powerful close ranged punch from 1 inch away. The main difference between the one inch punch and the iron fist punch is the travel distance. A normal punch is 6-12 inches away from the target. But a one inch punch is from a palm distance away. Bruce Lee was able to knock down opponents twice his size with his 1 inch punch.

@@dinnerboons1504 If you wind up then it's not a 1-inch punch. The key is to wind up and be 1-inch away. So do not extend the arm the start with. LOL.

As someone who has been doing martial arts for 8 years it was a shock to see how non martial artists tried to break the boards
Clark Kent and the construction guy has extreme internal strength considering they don't look strong compared to the body builder
Body builders values Form over Function: It's mostly for show.
Power lifters value Function over Form: raw strength, strength unrefined (with some technique so they don't hurt themselves)
MMA fighting values Function and Form, with balance and refinement.
Strength is not power.

Is there a rule about where you can stand? Also it's not that hard to pull 1 Inch Punches without doing wind ups, put your fingers infront to determine your range, then clench your fist while having your hand stay where it remains.

Was in martial arts awhile ago. Wooden boards are easier than these plastic boards. Wood you can break anywhere but the practice boards need right in the middle
