The pretty blonde is Luke's wife. He lost his brother, sister & brother-in-law & took over raising their kids. He is an amazing human. They have 2 kids of their own & adopted the other 3, for a total of 5 kids. Love his music, but love the man more.
Luke's sister and brother both died. He's the only one left. Then his late sister's husband died. Luke and his wife are raising their children as well as their own. Love me some Luke. ♥
This video was filmed on Luke's property. Yes this is his wife and 3 boys. When Luke was 19, I believe, he was set to leave for Nashville to pursue his singing career when his brother was killed in a car accident. Luke ended up staying home to help his father on the farm. A few years later he made it to Nashville and played at The Grand Ole Opry. His mom, dad and sister came to see him. I'm not sure when but shortly after that his sister passed away in her sleep, leaving behind her husband and 3 children. To this day I'm not sure they ever found out why she passed. Fast forward like 20 years or so and his brother-in-law passed away the same way, in his sleep, leaving his teenage son and two daughters who were collage age. Luke and his wife became guardian to his nephew and he was raised more like an older brother to Luke's sons. You should watch his video for "Drink A Beer" live performance show 2013. Chris Stapleton was a co-writer on this song and sings back-up in the video. This was the first time I had ever heard Chris sing because this was right about the time Chris went solo. Even though Chris is not spot lighted you can't miss Chris's silhouette behind Luke. Sorry this was so long.
I eat, sleep and breath huntin' and fishin'!
