The Games were largely overshadowed by what has come to be known as the "Munich massacre". Just before dawn on September 5, a group of eight members of the Palestinian Black September militiant organization broke into the Olympic Village and took eleven Israeli athletes, coaches and officials hostage in their apartments. Two of the hostages who resisted were killed in the first moments of the break-in; the subsequent standoff in the Olympic Village lasted for almost 18 hours.
Late in the evening of September 5 that same day, the terrorists and their nine remaining hostages were transferred by helicopter to the military airport of Fürstenfeldbruck, ostensibly to board a plane bound for an undetermined Arab country. The German authorities planned to ambush them there, but underestimated the numbers of their opposition and were thus undermanned. During a botched rescue attempt, all of the Israeli hostages were killed. Four of them were shot, then incinerated when one of the terrorists detonated a grenade inside the helicopter in which the hostages were sitting. The 5 remaining hostages were then shot and killed with a machine gun.

Actually, the community that voted for her is very middle Eastern/Muslim. I grew up in the same area. My children were born there, but we moved because my children were denied pre-school admittance due to the fact that they spoke English. The real Philistines were from Europe and turkey, and we’re not connected to the Middle East whatsoever. They tried to wipe out the Jews, but eventually were wiped out themselves. There are no “Palestinian” people. What is now “Palestine” was never a country. These people are a combination of Bedouins and wanderers, just like the original Jews.
They are sore losers because they couldn’t make a country of their own and deal with the British. Israel was split in half by the British to avoid this, but they couldn’t deal with it, and would not relocate and a peaceful manner.
The Jews tried tirelessly to work with them and compromise but the Palestinians broke every promise with every peace accord. Instead of talking, they committed terrorism for 75 years against children and innocent people. They just can’t be trusted. Now Israel is accused of atrocities and apartheid? This is insane. There is no comparison between Israel and a apartheid. As long as they are controlled by murderous terrorist, Israel will have to control its neighbor.

I think that CNN does some of its best work 'ripping'. They are caught in moral and intellectual cobwebs when it comes to issues like abortion and LGBT, but they have succeeded in putting forward the case against Trump on a wide range of policy issues and behavior. I noticed however that they resisted joining the 'resistance' early on.
When things had gone far enough, they really went to town with the criticism. This is what one might expect from a liberal-centrist outlet (not a leftist one).
I think that I am slotting them correctly, for three reasons: (a) I watch them a lot from across the border, because our own news media are so boring and hopelessly PC; (b) here in Canada we have had a real socialist tradition, so that I understand distinctions less familiar to Americans; (c) they may air not just one or two, but sometimes three viewpoints at the same time.
The word of God does not mandate any particular political economic system, being more concerned with the eternal SALVATION of mankind than with temporary forms of government. However it does speak of what we call 'social justice'. Some US Republicans might be surprised:

(Acts 4:32) 'Adn the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property ot them.'
We have 'medicare for all' here, and it works rather well. But if your culture will not accept it, or if you are too indebted to make the initial investment, perhaps you will never have it. I would humbly recommend a public option; let those who want (and can afford) to buy their health care on the private market do that. I do pray for your country from time to time.

In regards to her Holocaust comments, and mixing that with claiming all Palestinians just opened their doors out of good faith is just FACTUALLY Wrong. Of course there were some cases (as acts of humanity happen worldwide), but we shouldn't ignore the bigger picture. Here's two examples.
1. The Hebron Massacre of 1929. The city with the oldest Jewish community in the world which, up to that point, had a near continues Jewish presence since the early Middle Ages again after the original expulsion. It's aim: "the elimination of the Jewish settlement of Hebron. The rioters did not spare women, children, or the aged; the British gave passive assent. Sixty-seven were killed, 60 wounded, the community was destroyed, synagogues razed, and Torah scrolls burned" -Wikipedia.
2. Amin al-Husseini, the influential Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (1921-1948), was so digusted by the Idea of a Jewish country that he shared many views with Hitler and Himmler, with who he met a few times to discuss the "Jewish Problem in the Middle East", "Al-Husseini began the conversation by declaring that the Germans and the Arabs had the same enemies: “the English, the Jews, and the Communists.” He proposed an Arab revolt all across the Middle East to fight the Jews;" - Time Magazine.

When the ancestors of current Israelis were victims of genocide they were of course on the right side of history. If I did, I would agree with you that that would be revisionist history. That being said, the people living there did not have a unified national identity. Most identified with their villages or tribes, and many families historically had migrated from Egypt, other parts of Africa, and Jordan. Palestinian-Arab identity did not emerge until after the establishment of Israel. Again, that is not to say that many Arabs were not living in the British mandate of Palestine.

I am really confused by what she is trying to say about Palestinians "dying" to give Jews a safe haven. It ignores just how militantly the Arabs of that region in the 1930s and 1940s opposed Jewish migration, some leaders even working with the Nazis to keep them out of the territory. It also ignores the fact that after the UN passed the partition resolution in 1947, Arab Jews from across the Middle East and North Africa were stripped of their citizenship, and thus made into refugees whose only option was to move to Israel. Never mind the fact that most Palestinian refugees in 1949 had left BEFORE war broke out, some wealthy Palestinians selling their property at prices far above market value. Her take on this seems like a white-wash of what actually happened.
Rashida is definitely not an anti-Semite, and I imagine this perspective comes from family stories that have been passed down. But she cannot be this ignorant of history if she wants to have a productive conversation about Israel policy and a solution to bring prosperity to Palestinians.
