- I 3D printed and painted Blade. Using acrylic paints and simple techniques. More of a “this is what I did” video and less of “here’s how to do it”.
"Quinn. I'm gettin' a little tired of choppin' you up. Thought I might try fire for a change."

Your hour and a half looks better than my weeks worth of painting. Ha. Great stuff! Looks awesome.
Thank you. I think most people can do it just need to be shown how then work it out from there.
Dude that is so damn good. That glow looks wicked!
Absolutely amazing mate
Thanks my dude.
Thanks for this tutorial! I haven’t done much painting, because of the time involved, but the result you’ve gotten in a short time has me rethinking new possibilities!
That’s great. Exact what this video was meant to do. Hope you get some sweet models painted soon!!
Amazing work man!
Thank you 🙏

Tamiya
Thank you very much!
Wow
Thanks dude.
Awesome work
Thank you.
dude! for 90 minutes that is a really cool model! what's cool about it is you can always return back to it later and fix some stuff on it. I think i'll take a stab at the 50+ models collecting dust on my shelves and speed paint them. Thanks for this 🙂
Glad you got the idea. Yup just a few hours spent throwing some colours around can truly dent that pile of resin shame we all have across our shelf and in our drawers. But most importantly it’s good to just get stuck into it!! Thanks for watching
Really awesome effect!
Thanks my dude.
Nice work! Have you tried GW Contrast Paints through the airbrush?
Thank you. Yes. I use them all the time in the airbrush. They’re great for that
Genial!
So now that I've watched the video, my print is guaranteed to succeed? I need to know, because I've got some real fiddly bits coming up.
So the thing is… right, you will have success and if you don’t blame it on the next UA-cam video you watch because I can’t be held responsible for their bad printing luck bestowed upon you. Mine however is the best of luck for printing that’s guaranteed
Did you varnish after the white ink? I always get deactivation and smearing even several days after it dries if I don’t put on a matte layer.
No dude. I only varnish if I’m gonna wash before applying base colours
So good I’m back for third watch 🤘Can you buy this model or it is a Patreon only?
Um that’s a good question. I’ll see if I can see it on his Instagram.
Dude, I love this but... I can't find this vallejo fairy flesh skin set you keep mentioning. Can you link it? Want to copy your skillz sir.... amazing results!!!
Did you check if it’s available on Amazon in the link in the description? The link should take your to your countries Amazon and to that product on Amazon if not I’ll double check it but if you’re in or around Europe and UK then you could also try the element games link in the description too
@@Groundeffected I don't see it linked in the description. I see brushes and powders, and 3d printers... no fairy flesh skin set from Vallejo though. When I search on Amazon, no luck either. Maybe the name on it has changed? Any chance you can put up a referral link in your description? I'll definitely buy it:)
@@Groundeffected ohhh, I found it on Amazon finally. Seems no one else has it in the US at least. Shame, cause the Amazon one is expensive
@@JohnSmith-rt5yq oh apparently I’ve taken it out the description text. Oopsy. But yea it’s a bit pricey. But honestly we’ll worth it lasted over a year painting many many models. I just replaced the set recently only because I ran out of one of the colours I wanted to make sure I had more. It’s definitely well worth it if you can find it. It’s from the nocturna range so perhaps if you search nocturna fairy flesh set you may have more luck?
Hahahahahha I been sitting here refreshing and I missed the first comment 🤣🤣🤣🤣💩
Dang it. Need to put contrast in his place hahaha
And third. I'm the best
First !!
Lucky. Scott almost beat you to it.
Wasn't even close
@@scottssillymodelworx370 you tell him scott
I commented 3 times before Scott even knew what was happening
Oh man....Love your videos...but your video title can't be more click bait...Keep going with that!
Dangle the bait and hope for a catch one day. Haha
Sorry if I missed it but what is the reason for using Black primer on most of your figures compared to grey being more color neutral to start with? Or is it based on colors for chosen for the paint job determining it?
Mostly use black because if I miss a spot it’s not so noticeable but also it helps get my shadows a bit darker. It does mean more layers to get the colour to full saturation but I don’t mind layering. Sometimes I use a zenithal of white over the black. But very rarely paint from straight grey.
that's sick
Thanks my dude.
Very cool!
Thank you.
Second!!
That's such a cool technique man, what ratio did you mix that Tamiya clear coat? I bought some to try on an iron man sculpt ages ago but had a bad time trying to brush it on, it was like painting a toffee apple 😂 thankfully I can toot air now so might give it another chance haha.
I literally just dipped my larger paintbrush into the lacquer thinners and put that in the airbrush cup twice mixed maybe 5/1 or so and mixed good and sprayed it.
How do you get your paint to go on so smooth? Whenever I paint I have peeling & looks like texture
Even when I thin the paints on my wet pallete
You perhaps not thinning enough? Or perhaps using differ pints maybe your primer is reacting with your base layers? So many variables. Look at my series on brush control and start at the beginning and see if there’s any info that will help to with Thai but without any images and specifics it’s hard to say why you are struggling
killed it with the glow! looked so damn good with the up lighting great work.
Thanks my dude. I appreciate
This came out amazing it really looks like the base is lit
It it lit. By my fire 🔥
