Just a note that this plane hits the FPS very hard, unless you have a really high end system 13900KF / 7800x3D with a RTX4090 expect frame rates of 5-15 fps @ 1080. However it is an incredibly awesome product, i love flying it, i wish the dev's would do work on the graphic perf. my sys is a threadripper 2970W with a rtx 2080 ti 11g. (not exactly a gaming purpose build) but i get 9 - 25 fps when running it at 1080 with graphics set a medium when i can get 40-80 frame on other equally feature full and good planes. Q8 runs a 13900 w/ 4090 so he has a excellent system to work with. Again i wish to take nothing out the quality of this product other then a performance warning. cheers 😎
@@xo-Tobe Do you know how many fps you get on the standard or zibo laminar 737, so I can compare my systems performance to yours, because I do want to get the dash 8, but I don't want to play with less than 30 fps.
FYI: You can avoid manually entering the flight plan by : 1. exporting from Navigraph to XPlane (be sure to use the XPlane export option that preserves SID/STAR info) 2. using "COPY PLT RTE" on the FPL page to select it from a list and import it.
Q8 I've been unable to catch a live stream for a while. Recently bought a PC (was Mac before) so have been learning MSFS. Watched this video and must say I'm going to hop into the Q4XP this afternoon in XPlane ! Always enjoy your videos thx
Hey Q8....I have this plane and I love it but just have one issue I need to resolve to enjoy this to its full potential....I seem to have an issue attempting to set the Throttle quadrant up correctly to work with my Honeycomb Bravo......DO you have any suggestions or recommendations on the best way to do this as I would really like to control it via the Honeycomb rather than always moving down to the throttle quadrant with my mouse.....Also just FYI I am not sure how to setup response curves as I have heard maybe I can do it that way......Any help would be appreciated.....I absolutely enjoy your videos!!!! Thanks for all your content and advice over the years!!!! Mike
A great strem Q8, and congratulations on your landing, this plane is pretty challenging to land, kudos to you and thanks for all your work for our community. Just a quick question is EGBB XP12 default or custom? Cheers
Hi, I really enjoy your Dash 8 videos....question I have the FlyJsim dash 8 and am trying to map my honeycomb bravo engine controls but having a difficult time. Not sure what controller you use if any but have you come across a setup video for it? Trying to make it as real as I can for my sim. Thanks in advance!!!! Mike
Thanks for another great video, man! What controls do you use and how do you have them set up? I have the Honeycomb Alpha yoke (ver 1, unfortunately) paired with the Honeycomb Bravo throttles and Thrustmaster TPR pedals. I'm still tweaking settings and the response curves and was curious how you have yours set up. For the power levers in particular, how do you handle the gated sections with your response curves?
I am using the TCA Yoke, TCA Boeing Throttle, and TPR for flight controls. I have a full video on response curves which you can find here ua-cam.com/video/CtANcylnoEY/v-deo.html
I have both, but there are still too many things in terms of functionality that I miss in MSFS to this day that I haven't used MSFS in almost a year. Optics & world- & city-updates aren't everything.

Right, I get 40-60 frames on the FFA757 with pretty high to high graphics and arojnd 25-30 on the Q4XP with a 5500 and a rx6600 with 32 gbs
Thanks for the warning. In that case I have zero chance of running it with my FX8320 and RX580
@@joetjoepjoeserneejm There some tricks with this airplane, close the cockpit door and save 5 fps.
For me the rotate md11 is harder on my computer than the q4xp

Nice stream! Your X-plane looks great! Just one question; how come you don’t use the yaw damper for take off?
Great video! Does this come with the appropriate checklists as well?
Do you use ShadeX or some filter in Xplane because it look gourgeous...a look blurry but beautiful..in my XPlane all is very crisp and sharp, thanks

Hey there my friend. Thank you and yes EGBB is default XP12.
Well this shows how default airports are improving in XP, thanks for your reply and take care, Cheers@@Q8Pilot
hey Q8, when you do the replay dont use the slider, instead use the rewind button and that stop it from crashing
I don't use the slider. Thanks for the help though.

Also I have experienced the same issue you have with the engine throttles as shown around the 31:30 mark

It was a perfect landing.
Thinking about adding this to my hangar.
An excellent aircraft, and just got updated too bringing fixes and improvements.
Try also manila to singapore airbus a330-900neo cebu pacific from NAIA Terminal 3 gate 116 to changi gate g21 in x plane 12.
I’m a fs2020 user and tbh I don’t really like xp that much but you have got that sim looking very nice

It's great to have both. I actually bought X-Plane 12 for the Dash 8, then I realized it was a fantastic sim in its own right.
How about that Zibo? I'd buy it just for that 737!❤@@MalShakur
@@MalShakur yeah the only thing I find weird is that they increased the price when tbh I thought they should decrease it
If you leave the flight time too high, then the load summary will show you don't have enough fuel
I wish there was a good Q400 in MSFS.
Same here!
