Oh….I say this with love, kindness, and support. I encourage you to have a professional at a black salon relax Brinleys’s hair in the future if you didn’t this time. I also have my hair relaxed because it makes my daily life easier, but I would never do my own hair. Do you perm your own hair? If you don’t perm your own hair, then relaxing is no different. Those are some serious chemicals. And it can cause SERIOUS damage if used incorrectly or too often. There’s a lot of education involved in using those chemicals. A relaxer will not fully straighten her hair. What it does is permanently change the shape of the hair that has been relaxed to make it..well more relaxed😂 But all hair that grows after the relaxer will be her natural hair texture until the new growth is relaxed. And don’t do it too often! It can damage the hair follicles. Her hair looks great! I just want it to stay healthy!

LOVE THIS! The hairstyle turned out soooooo perfect on her. The hearts were just adorable. This is the part of girl world, I love the most, just getting to hang out and bond, and do fun beauty and hair stuff. Makes really great memories, especially when everything works out!

Maybe do some trial and error on how to better manage Brinley’s hair without the relaxer. I know The relaxer can be damaging unless it’s properly maintained. Just a little tip for when she’s going swimming, apply a little conditioner before she goes out (it’s a protector) and co-wash after. This is good for the boys too! But yea, some good brands for her are Camille Rose, Mielle, Bask and Lather, and Kaleidoscope to name a few. I know you didn’t ask, but Hey!
This! Brinley’s hair is not difficult to manage with the proper education. Protective styles like twists or cornrows would have been perfect to give her natural hair a break from the braids.
