"... trying to start journaling without overthinking it." What a good way to frame it.
I want to tell you that you've inspired me to begin ***gulp*** a larger size book! I do use a full-size lined ledger for writing, but for a more creative page I now have the moleskine cahier size softcover with blank paper. Yikes! What a fun and scary challenge! (And what a great excuse to get another cork cover from Brie. 😁)

Awe how fun! It’s definitely a challenge to switch to up sizes, but I do love the possibilities for creativity in a larger notebook ☺️ and any excuse for cork covers from Brie is always great! Be sure to use my discount code: abidingjournal10

Journaling surely helps us with a lot of things and it could be about anything, mental health is something that we should give focus on because it is as important as our physical or emotional health! Gratitude journaling is one of my favorites here! Thanks for the video dear!❤

I have journal ed for many years. A personal almost daily journal. Before "all this got popular" ; I would put scripture, stickers, pics I cut out and sometimes single words. Now I have too many journals and have A hard time keeping up w/all. I do have a Blessing Journal which would be similar to your gratitude journal. I started it when my husband of 25 yrs. left me for his secretary. It was crushing as he was a "professing christian". I KNEW I would have to see and record a blessing the Lord gave me each day during this very dark time. Sometimes it was just a simple thing " saw a bunny coming out of the shed" or bigger " thank YOU for bringing that scripture to mind when F's attorney said----" I continue it to this day. I also have a Quote journal, A Prayer journal, A Book journal and I am starting a Creative Art journal! I HAVE to keep up my personal journal I've been doing it for sooo many yrs. Everything goes in there. I want to do ALL of these, but am frustrated and anxious because I can't keep up w/all. Two yrs. ago I bought a beautiful Journaling Bible and only worked in it 1 time! HELP! Any suggestions. It is soooo nice to meet a christian u-tuber esp. for journaling!😁

I’m so sorry to hear about your husband leaving you. That is unimaginably hard, but I’m glad you are finding things to still be grateful for. I suggest doing the many types of journaling you are interested in doing in just 1-3 notebooks and not to put any pressure on how often you do each type of journaling. Just do what feels right in the moment, and whatever you have created in the end, is what you were supposed to 💛 so glad you found our community too!

Hi, I lost my mum this yr and writing letters to her and putting them in my journal helps me say things that I want her to know. I keep a journal for memories but I also find for my mental health it helps to get things out of my head.

This type of journaling and most listed here are my bread and butter. I’m always looking for more on these. But I enjoy the technical side of it rather than the creative. Like don’t show me how you glued something down, show me your methods and thought processes on how you filled the page with things you are working on.

Ms Lady, I'm 68 years old and have stopped using drugs for 13 years,, I have had some alcohol. I was in treatment on many occasions. I want to know what the Heart is. Jesus says love God with all your Heart, mind and strength, something to that affect. The heart must be some kind of tool, with all your heart to me sounds like it to me. You bring up grief, I have lost grandmother at 13, grandfather in my early 30s , uncle that I kinda grew up with just found out abut, mother at almost 20, fathers at 16. The only one that I was around when they passed was my grandmother. Is there anything I need to do? By the way I hate writing. I have a feeling that if I have patient with my self, writing might work. I couldn't make my life work, getting repaired doesn't seem to be an option. Oh yeah, I'm becoming good friends with self-anger. Sorry about puking all over you comment. I know God has saved me time and time again, I just don't know how to do my part. I also strongly dislike EMOTIONS. Mr Spock was my hero when I was a kid. Ok I quit. I'm becoming less and less a fan of typing.
