Unlike the larger bamboo varieties from the south, those used in bamboo weaving in Tianshui, Gansu (China), comes from small-sized bamboos that's about the size of a chopstick!
From selecting the perfect bamboo to mastering the age-old techniques, this video tells the story of a young artisan's true aspirations to hone his craft, create economic opportunities for those around him, but fully sheds light on the undeniable struggles of a modern-day craftsman.
