I am 70 years old. I am happy, hearing this college boys singing Beatles song. Wow
i have tears of joy for the trumpet god
The piccolo trumpet nailed it!
Keen students of music always love that bit! LOL It never fails to be a great challenge.
That trumpet player was spot on!
He was indeed !! David Mason would look down from the heavens and say ' Yes , this chap is a jolly good player ' !
10/10 for the piccolo ;)
Love this outstanding performance. This shows the genius of the Beatles.
Wonderful!
I was wondering how they would handle the piccolo trumpet. Good job. No disappointment.
La trompeta Piccolo fue perfecta
Splendid!
my grin couldn‘t be wider, well done!
excellenr
Wauw! The enthusiasm is breathtaking.
The audience are just the most supportive ever . What's the point of a mega name performer playing at a 60,000 seat stadium where people can't see anything because they are so far away and feel left out . The blonde girl in the front row had the best night's concert ever !
very nice
The crowd seemed to recognize that not everyone can play that trumpet part. Good job everyone. This older Beatles fan loved the energy. I assume John Brndiar is an instructor, not a student. Either way, he really nailed it!
@1:22 "I'm a trumpet god... and you know it"
With respect , are you saying the trumpet player had some sort of arrogance about him ? I didn't think so , but perhaps we have misunderstood each other .
Awesome piccolo!
love these videos
Brilliant, and the guy doing the piccolo trumpet part was impeccable….!
The amazing thing about this performance, along with the matching performance of "I Am The Walrus" is just how many musicians are required to perform the song correctly. But then, in the background is the bass player. And you realise in the original, the backing track was just Paul on piano along with Ringo, John and Paul. And after that they slowly built up the layers with George Martin's help. If you're a student of music, how they did that in itself is almost a University Degree.
The piston - that's how trumpet piccolo is called in Brazil - solo of this song is wonderfull and the player made it like the original record !
I say yes.
OMG they are so lively. They must be Americans.
Trumpeter blow me away - but sadly - they should have added that little 8-note trumpet rift that is on the 45 RPM -after the very last words "Penny Lane":- Most Beatles officianados love that riff that you never noramally heaar.
You are right!!! For those interested you could hear the trumpet ending on Sgt. Pepper 2017 Super Deluxe Edition Disk 4 #19 Penny Lane (Capitol Records Mono US Promo Mix) I would like these kids to do something little extra instead of just covering the songs exactly as on general releases.
timing is lacking and bounce to tune is missing - kind of slide through
I liked it . I'm sorry you didn't .
