Absolutely brilliant video I have made a beautiful silicone veiner I had a small amount of Siligum left over from an old project and it turned out perfect.
I have what the Americans call 'shortening' that I use when making sugar flowers and used that rather than cold cream as it was to hand. I think it's the fat/grease content that prevents the sticking.
Thank you so much for sharing!

I have never used vaseline instead of cold cream but it may work as it is the oil in the cold cream that stops the silicone from sticking.

What size are these containers please, and how many leaves do you figure it makes in all?
    Thank you

These particular tubs are a total of 300g and it depends on the size of the leaves you are making veiners from.. I would think that you could get 10-12 medium. Veiners (double sided) from a pot. It may be cheaper to use dental putty as it goes in you mouth so I would consider it to be food grade, it comes in varying sizes and is more reasonably priced

The blue silicone can be purchased online or from stores such as Hobbycraft. You can also use dental moulding compound as it is food safe.

Thanks for sharing. Are you South African? I am trying to place your accent but been away from SA for so long I sometimes struggle to identify the accent.
