- In this video I finally revisit Argentavis, taking a look at new taming techniques and features that were added for their TLC.
You wake up in the middle of nowhere, maybe it's a beach, a mountain, a forest, or a jungle, but it is no place that you have known. There is a strange device implanted into your arm. Welcome to the ark. The place where long extinct creatures eat you while you feebly try to survive. This series is my attempt to show you little things that will help you flourish.

just so you know for the people with only a bow and tranq arrows that come upon a alone argentavis you can tame it with just that but you gotta have good aim so that you can knock it out when flys away

Learned a new trick where you can tame it without building you only need to have a pteranodon, you can outrun it then shoot it multiple times till it’s unconscious

In mobile when the creature is running away due to almost full torpor when you sleep the creature will have 0 food left when you knocked it you so you can tame it more easily I dunno if that works on PC,mind trying it out?

If you knock the argy when it’s got the green aura aka healing it will have zero food when it’s knocked

Pretty effective for griffns in mobile
And in pc and consle you can sleep sadly

If you don’t want to drag a corpse to the argentavis, get the mod. Appetizer, it is a mod that adds a drug similar to narcotics but it instead drains the hunger of unconscious animals

heres something i do after taming a carnivore: go on a killing spree or “meat run”. You just need to have the saddle ready (unless its a griffin)

Don’t tame an X-argy, you can’t use it unless it’s off of genesis 1
Also the griffin is the only usable flyer on genesis 1

I just get a 1k health sarco with saddle, tranq down a low level argie, and go around killing creatures for prime meat. Since most creatures in the redwoods don’t do much dps, it’s easy to get meat or defend the argie.
My boy But I'm only a level 9 What should I do Should I just log out the game until I get one of those gifts keep on doing that until I get the saddle aim to reach the highest level ?
You can run explorer notes for xp as well as you can do caves for xp

Can you tame an argy with just raw meat?
Yes its very easy I even tamed my first one with just raw meat
you can use any kibble over that tier. like for example rex is one of the easiest kibble to mass produce. its the second highest tier and alls you need is lemons, lots of low level female rex and preferably a good berry getter like bronto.
rex kibble will work on like 97% of the dinos in the game except thyla rock golem and a few other high end dinos. space whale yuty.
as long as the kibble is above the tier your taming it works fine. so like you can use the best kibble to tame a dodo. not that i would but makes taming and kibble making alot les complicated. especially when low level rexes are all over the place and tame pretty fast on prime.
Question if there’s a group of them will they all attack
Tipp: let your argentavis starve like 300 hunger points and then feed him so you can tame him way faster!

@@communistcat19 there are argentavis at each mountain, there are 4 mountains near the north side of the island. If you level up a good pteradon - you can reach them.

Does the crouch and secondary attack not work on pve?
My friend and I, who've tamed 3 Argentavises (Argentavi?) by knocking it out and giving it regular raw meat: 👁👄👁

Just tamed one and brang it back to my base but during the tame i got pounced by a raptor while i was on my pteranodon and now my pt is lost but i still got my argy so not all was gone
Have you ever tamed one and have it not be rideable in the options we're it usually says ride it says flying mounts disabled but I have a different one I can still ride is there anyway to fix this
Crazy part when I take the saddle off my other to put it on the new I couldn't ride the new but could still ride the old WITHOUT a saddle
