@@AluminumOrGlass what i really mean is that HTLT still sounds fresh, and this version of the ending of dramamine proves it. doesn't really sound THAT different in comparison to the original, so there's no point re-recording it.
HTLT definitely doesnt need a rerecord because its the album that showed wills production quality go wayyy up and a remaster would make that seem less significant. plus its amazing already.
@@thebrodster3813 while i mostly agree, i actually think that NYM was Will's breaking point when it comes to production, and HTLT is just a little upgrade with more cohesion and superior audio quality than it
if what ppl are saying about this song being originally written for TOD but moved to HTLT later, then that makes a bit of sense. i like this, it's nice and they could've done an even cooler job if they were trying to record it to release it. i do think it might be cool for them to play this version in some concerts possibly
HTLT and TOD were written at the same time. HTLT is an "EP" because it's outtakes from the full length Will was working on at the time. This version was just made when there was downtime in the studio, I don't think it was ever meant for release.
@@AluminumOrGlass I think Will was going to put a How To Leave Town song on Teens of Denial to make the album longer, but after he wrote Cosmic Hero he decided against it. Although I think he said somewhere that the frontrunning HTLT song to go on ToD was Hey, Space Cadet
@@DEAKY0921 yes lol runtime has nothing to do with whether an artist calls something an album or EP anymore, it's an EP solely because Will said it was an EP
I took it from someone else's youtube channel, unedited. No other version has surfaced and they never shared a higher quality one. It's a throwaway recording anyway
The original song is my favourite and most listened to song of all time. This is an interesting take on it. I feel like it's missing the feeling of isolation of the more lofi original version but this is way more violent. The problem is that this is not a song about will hating something or someone apart from himself. I also feel those guitars are too loud for the song. The climax at the end doesn't feel as good and that's a shame. Overall it's fine but doesn't compare to the original in the slightest. It would be like trying ti compare both versions of Los Barrachos. The version on teens of style is fine but it would simply be wrong to listen to it over the monomania one. Thanks for uploading it though !!!
hey, i am bery curious as to where you found this? i know this is from a teens of denial recording session but im really curious as to where it released and where you found it
the earliest post of it i know of was from another channel that uploaded rarities, except they were closer to the band than most people, and they took it down after like a day. this is from that exact upload so there's probably little to no quality loss
imagine this on the same album as fill in the blank
well i think that now we all can agree that HTLT doesn't need a re-record
i do not agree

will incorporating station to station by bowie in the intro is a punk as hell move
woah, this sounds cool as hell. brings the inspirations for the original to the forefront with the spastic guitars.
Without comparing this to the original Ending of Dramamine, this is still pretty incredible
I thought this was the KEXP version at first
I prefer this version to the htlt version tbh, love the way it all blends
sidechaining is way too much tho damn
this has got to be one of my favorite car seat headrest songs of all time
Holy shit why did i not know that this version exists
me toooooo

fucking awesome. this song must kill live.
The bowie reference in the intro... God dayummmmmm
just finding out this exists???
i miss all the synths, it sounds kinda boring without them

really glad this exists this is so good

There Must Be More Than Blood is literally a remix of Ending Of Dramamine, with updated but similarly themed lyrics, if you didn't notice.

im assuming this is a demo? was the ending of dramamine supposed to be remade for teens of denial but was cut off? i guess we'll never know :/
it was recorded during the teens of denial sessions, I don't think it was ever actually intended for the album
