I think I just figured out why I love these so much. Twin fantasy is my favourite album and this made it feel like listening to it for the first time. Over a year Iago I laid on my bed and stared at the ceiling for 16 minutes. That was the first time I had listened to Famous Prophets (Stars). Tonight I stared at the ceiling for 19 minutes and 54 seconds. I listened to this for the first time, and it had felt like I had just listened to Famous Prophets for the first time. It had bought the same excitement and unpredictability I had felt when first listening to FP. Thank you so much. Am in tears.
The outro for this felt like a cozy blanket on a rainy day, wrapping you up in warm, fuzzy feelings. Listening to this was the closest thing to a religious experience for me ever. Across the 10-12 min mark felt like an explosion of emotions but at the same time I felt like nothing either. Everything and nothing feels like the best way to describe how I felt listening to this either way will san so cute 0-0 mwah
Man, there's a lot to unpack here! Up until the second movement, everything was an absolute treat to listen to. I can't lie, I'm a little bummed that you didn't include the first descend into cliché, personally thought that would've went really well together with the three transgressions section (one of my favorite parts of bodys was hearing the cut background lyrics from mirror to mirror alongside the face to face version). I really appreciate the attempt to capture mirror to mirror's audio quality when going into the second descend verse. The build-up to the breakdown for the pain stars section is *a litte* messy, which, depending on who you ask, might be just what they're looking for, but trying to include *every* version of famous prophets and every aspect of it is such an undertaking that I guess it comes with this project. The ending was absolutely phenomenal, seamlessly transitioning the ending of pain star with "Then it will be exactly the same as earth" was so, so good. I absolutely commend the effort you put in here. Might give it a few more listens just to see if other parts grow on me more, and though bodys was by far my favorite side to side (consistently brings me to tears for no good reason), I still came out mostly enjoying this. Impressive work!
I love this, even if it is a bit messy at points, I love the dedication to combining all of the songs in both albums and am happy to have finally seen the conclusion!!
