Brings back a lot of pre-booze holiday memories. Eggnog at Grammy’s house at Christmas and New Years. Only a few of us are still around, oh what times though. Your recipe looks good and thanks for the tip on separating the eggs and the risk of sounding like Bob Hope “thanks for the memories!” Good stuff Randy!
So I remember my Mom on the stove for a bit making homemade eggnog back in the early 70's.. now I know why I slept so well on Christmas Eve and never caught Santa! Thanks Randy this ones definitely a keeper, it sounds delicious!
I’m Haven’t checked me recently to watch you Randy, just been to busy. I seen Eggnog and had to find the time. Loved making back in the day but never cooked it that I can remember and I was to young my to splash any booze which I wouldn’t anyways at that age. Thanks for bringing back fond memories my friend. Also the audio today is so much better than I remember by many of your posts. Good job there. Don’t know what you did, but it’s working. My turn to give you a small tip. When separating egg yolk from egg whites just cracked the shell in half then transferred the egg yolk back-and-forth into each half and the whites will fall out cleanly into your bowl. Won’t have to get your hands dirty again. Thank you again. Solo.
Brother Randy, I was sure after watching you handle the egg yolks, I thought that sure you would curdle them. Good job on tempering them correctly. Never made eggnog before, but now I think I might have to. Another fine recipe.
Great job! I'm a chef and caught myself coaching you while working the eggs.."faster! faster,. Keep whisking!.. You scramble my eggs and I'll cut your hands off!" 😂😂😂
I always enjoy watching your videos, but I think my favorite part is seeing the expression on your face when you taste what you've made. Thanks, Buddy.
have a good day

heavy cream or heavy whipping cream? there is a slight difference. I use actual heavy cream to make butter
Heavy whipping cream is what i used
Awesome, thanks for tge clarity
Hack for separating eggs. Use an empty water bottle. Squeeze it and then suck the yolks up into the bottle. Works slicker than snot on a door knob. 😊
neat have to try that
