I occasionally use it in Cape Town. It is cheap, affordable, safe and reliable. It’s quite an improvement from the old yellow trains. Security is on board and patrols in the trains, making it feel safe.

I don’t like the ANC but I’ll give them credit where it’s due. They have been upgrading the tracks and signals, they just need to upgrade the signaling further so the trains can be faster.

I don't have any stats, however, took the Southern line (Cape Town) twice and felt quite safe. I even had my phone out, something that was impossible in the old trains; security officers were visible and actively patrolling.
Here in Pretoria not once have I encountered anything bad I can listen or what a movie on my phone without worries and on top of that security guard's are always on board
I use it to go to work everyday. Very reliable and always on time. Thank you Prasa!

My train is from Nyanga to Cape Town 12:50 everyday. I have to carry taxi fare because it's canceled at least twice a week
