One thing that I love about this episode is how well Zuko and Aang work together. Zuko doesn’t even talk to Aang at all, but they are still in synch! Makes it even sadder when Aang just wishes they could be friends, that they could work together.
I don't count any of the Legend of Korra shows as canon. The writing in them was complete ass, and the avatar state never gives her enough advantage to win against her opponent with, unlike with Aang and all of the previous avatars where they have the power to completely decimate enemies in moments AS WELL AS things such as completely push away and remake the earth itself to the point of creating their own separate islands. HOWEVER Outside of Korra, there is also writing about the previous avatars before Aang... One of which, her signature thing being completely removing the air from entire rooms because she was involved in extreme deep politics in order to keep the world in balance.
This episode is beyond great. Soundtrack, backgrounds, choreography, it has a lot of humor and two great fight scenes. Really important episode for Aang and Zuko's relationship. And that tsungi horn at the end gives me chills every time.
Of course Fire nation have to capture the avatar alive. Because if they'd kill him he'd just reincarnate and then they'd have to try to find her again.
Zuko takes a good long look at the Fire Nation flag. He's try to figure out why an enemy would save him despite that enemy fearing him. Perhaps your enemy doesn't see you as an enemy. Maybe, they see everyone as friend.
besides the already mentioned amazing soundtrack, I love also love the cinematography and landscape they show in this episode. One of the more rare episodes in this season in which we see forests and mountains and cool architecture with that temple in which our team is hiding in and the fire nation military base. Its a nice little contrast to all the water we see plenty of in this first season.
this is not a spoiler since its never really explained in the show, but i think you should tell her that airbenders are very spiritual and believe life is sacred so pulling air out of someone’s lungs is not an option for them. More specifically kyoshi’s mom had to use fans because her air bending was tainted from abandoning the temples and joining a rouge gang. This would also make events that happen in korra more surprising if you guys plan to watch that as well

The frog didn't necessarily jump to it's death ...smaller animals like ants can fall from a higher height simply because of their smaller size
