I went down to the supermarket to see if I could find
anything at all to ease my mind
I walked up and down every aisle I musta walked for miles and miles
the only last single thing that I could find

I met a young lady with a new silk hat

she looked angry when she asked do I know you
I saw her again just the very next week
but before I could open my mouth to speak
she stopped me with that same do I know you
I said we met last week I'm tate yes you do
well I woke this morning feeling lonely
but very tired and stay at homely
wondrin where have all my good friends gotten to
so I looked on myspace friendster facebook
linkedin flicker twitter orkut
found out they're all wastin their lives online too
and I didn't even have to lace up any shoes
